Laughter.

It filled the air; happy and bubbly and carefree as Umiko's laughter always was.

Umiko was participating in one of her favorite past times: ice skating. It was a rather interesting thing considering the temperature of the usual ocean water; of course she was a walking icicle so that mattered little. Today she wasn't in the ocean, however, but off on a nearby fresh water lake on the outskirts of the surface portion of the village: it was much easier to freeze a small body of water after all then it was a large one; though she had only frozen a portion of the lake, and not the entire thing.

”Weeeeeeeeee!~”, Umiko called out as she leapt into the air, twirled, and landed to continue on. She was, as she always was, bare foot and dressed in usual attire; a bright white bikini with a gray-to-white gauzy see through top and skirt (exact outfit in the image on her character application). But, the ice was smooth beneath her feet, and the cold temperature didn't bother her at all.

Once more Umiko brought her arms into her chest, launched herself into the air gracefully, twirled, and then brought her arms out as she landed to continue on with her skating. This landing was followed by more laughing as she skated herself closer to the warm sandy shore: such an odd contrast to the ice that would begin to melt the instant she brought her body temperature back up.

Even as Umiko was having her fun, there was someone nearby; a close friend of hers. He was enjoying himself in the weather, simply clothed in a pair of shorts as he lounged in the warm sand. As Umiko slid and twirled over the ice, the male was daydreaming away, fingers clasped behind his head and eyes closed against the sun overhead.

As he lay there, his mind wandered; he was thinking of a way protect his small family, something that would allow him to keep an eye on him while he was away for any reason. While he was slowly formulating out the idea, the crucial points were eluding him. There was only so much he could do with the current knowledge he possessed, but he needed this...

Who said an Anemone couldn't enjoy a little sunbathing? Really, it was a silly assumption, just because her clansmen had to keep their hydration up while on land didn't mean they couldn't lounge in the sun like anyone else. So long as an Anemone had chakra they could keep their buds wet and happy. Chakra she had in spades, and while it was warm, yes, it was also humid in that way only a beach could be; the air could double for a run broth it was so thick, yet didn't oppress anyone in it. Pleasant, really.

She was sprawled out on the sand beside the large dragonman, If you didn't know her you'd think she was asleep for how even get breathing was, how little she moved; however that was actually the sign of her working. She'd been reef diving recently, and get body was still working over the new toxins and venoms and the like that she'd found. Oh, she was totally fine, just a bit lethargic in that seemingly lazy way that only happened when you push yourself hard and finally let yourself rest; it was hard work to build immunities like she did, even more so to reproduce new substances with her anemone. She would have samples galore for the medics to use later.

The sounds of merriment had her cracking an eye and lifting her head from the comfortably pillowing sand and watching the skating female, an expression of amusement on her face. It was always interesting to see someone skating like that, it was something she couldn't really do, due to her biology more so than any lack of talent. She could skate on water, but the cold ice would damage her anemone in painful ways, so it was out of the question for her.

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 11:40 am

Umiko did another lap around her little frozen wonderland while leaping, twirling, and laughing. When she neared the shore she slowed herself down and essentially allowed herself to run out of momentum. She came to a complete stop at the edge of the ice she had created as her laughing subsided. She was right in front of the sandy shore: the ice she had made behind her already beginning to melt away between the warmth of the sun and the lakes drastic temperature difference compared to the ice itself.

She stared at the sand for a moment in contemplation. Umiko was addicted to pain to the point to where if she didn't feel it from time to time she'd lose her mind and attempt suicidal levels of self harm, and she knew that the temperature difference between the frozen ice she still stood on and the sand that had been warming in the sun for quite a few hours would be enough to cause a pleasant - for her - burning sensation on the bottoms of her feet without actually harming her to the point of leaving a mark. Umiko bit her bottom lip lightly while debating for another moment more, but just as she had made up her mind and shifted her leg so that she could step on the sand she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. What was clearly a messenger of sorts was running up the path that connected the lake area to the surface area of Umigakure. The messenger looked harassed and annoyed, a combination that had him feeling snippy at best: he had spent the past hour or two looking for Umiko after all so that he could deliver the scroll in his hand that contained a message from her parents: the fanciness of it a clear indication that it was an invitation to some party - her parents were social butterflies after all.

When he spotted her still standing on the ice he let out a curse of "Fucking finally found you...", before marching over stormily. Umiko tilted her head as she watched him, he was still several meters away from her, and she rather preferred to keep it that way - more so for his protection than hers. Even now the water around her was beginning to react in subtle but threatening ways while the ice's temperature began to drop.

"Stop it...", she bit out through gritted teeth while she offered the same command mentally to her over protective inner beast. There were only a small handful of people that her inner beast wouldn't react to and this hostile and angry looking messenger wasn't one. Of course this warning did little to stop the effects...

Cold.

It was supposed to be a hot day, and yet now he was cold. That could only mean one thing.

An eye cracked open, and the male sat up, a look of annoyance crossing his face. There was someone else here, a messenger by the look of him. Given the distance between him and Umiko, he could only assume this was the reason for the coldwave. Grunting, he would rise up to his feet after tapping the female beside him to alert her to the situation, if she wasnt aware already.

He would make his way over to Umiko in a smooth fashion, almost like a predator stalking his prey. There weren't many in the village of Umigakure that could stand up to him in terms of power, and it showed heavily in his movements. As he reached the female, he would drape an arm across her shoulder. "Something wrong, dear?"

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 7:30 pm

"Hnnn...?" It was a sleepy sound; the warm sun was relaxing as hell, and it was keeping the generalized body aches that accompanied the processing of toxins at bay. The sudden chill was unwelcome, as it caused the aches to flare back up in various places, mostly in her joints and such where she would be feeling the actual toxins the hardest normally; and the tap from the male beside her was enough information to know that she needed to open her eyes and pay attention to the world beyond her own mind.

Joy. Interruptions.

"Why are we being bothered? I thought we had the day off." She was... calm, but anyone with sharp ears or that knew her at all would hear the tinge of annoyed in her voice. She grunted and shifted her weight until she was sitting up properly, knees pulling up toward her chest so that she could cross her arms and rest them across them. Her chin rested on her arm, completing the movements and her conversion from a comfortable sprawled lounger to an annoyed ball of ninja and anemone.

"Someone wanna tell me why this messenger is about to get eaten?"

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 8:51 pm

There were times when having a dragon sealed in oneself was a pain in the ass, especially when that dragon didn't particularly care to listen to its host. Haikyo hadn't been this stubborn before she had been sealed inside of Umiko and Umiko could only guess it had something to do with the dragon being a bit restless. Of course, this was why it was good that Ryuu and Mizuko were so close by, and why it was such a good thing that Ryuu was walking towards her now. Umiko shifted her blue eyed gaze from the messenger who had suddenly halted as he felt the sudden burst of cold and over to Ryuu as he neared. Her eyes flashed white momentarily, a common sign that the dragon within was more in control at this moment then Umiko was. However, as Ryuu put his arm over her shoulders her eyes instantly changed back to blue and the coldness would begin to dissipate instantly: her dragon had heeled in Ryuu's presence and was deciding to behave and relinquish control back to Umiko instead of taking control fully, forcing dragon mode, and likely eating the poor bastard of a messenger.

Umiko blinked as her mind shifted focus: as if she were suddenly snapping out of a day dream and had only been vaguely aware of what was going on outside of her own mind. She looked from Ryuu to the suddenly terrified looking messenger, her head tilting a bit to the side automatically to come to rest again Ryuu. "Yes?"

The messenger would simply stare for a moment which would cause Umiko to shift her attention off of him and over to Mizuko: she didn't look...comfortable and this didn't sit well with Umiko at all. In fact, the only thing keeping her from ignoring the messenger completely and walking over to the other female was Ryuu.

"I..I.. I have a message from your parents. I've spent the past several hours looking for you." What had started out as a stuttered reply had quickly turned back into the pissy and annoyed tone of voice he had had when first arriving: as if he expected someone to feel proud of him for doing what was his job.

"Hmm?", Umiko would shift her attention from staring at Mizuko to the messenger slowly: if anything at this point she'd look a bit high from the sudden regaining of control of herself. So, it wasn't like she was being rude on purpose, or attempting to piss the messenger off, she just couldn't help it for the time being. Of course this response did not go over well with the messenger.

The messenger, feeling quite brassed off at this point, would storm over to Umiko if not stopped. He'd then proceed to roughly grab her right hand which would cause a gasp of pain from Umiko that would break off into a soft sigh of pleasure as her mind fired off the wrong circuits, shove the scroll forcefully into it, and then release her before storming off in the direction he came from.

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 11:04 pm

This situation was about to go south; this man was attempting to touch what was his, and Ryuu was not about to have ANY of that. He would step forward, the acidic taste of burned oxygen filling the air as Raiton began to arc off of his body and spread along the ground, popping and sizzling. He would give the messenger a careful warning with his expression, one that would no doubt hold him in place if the man knew whom Ryuu was.

Dragons did not like thier possessions being touched by others; they were hoarders by nature. Ryuu considered Umi to be his possession, and he would do anything in his power to keep her from being touched by people: within reason, of course. He very much could not enforce this when around her family, despite how much instinct wanted him to do so.

But as far as something like this? This messenger? He was about to be in for a world of hurt if he so much as laid a finger on Umiko. "I suggest you stay were you are, and hand ME the message, my friend." His voice was issued with power, a dangerous untertone filling it. If this man knew whom Ryuu was, then he would know of his temper and ability to kill with mere words. "Thank you for delivering it, however. I trust you are most dedicated..."

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyTue Sep 01, 2015 3:47 am

Well, someone was haughty. Someone was also itching to... well, itch. Or die. She wasn't exactly sure how a 'normal' person would react to the toxin that was currently surging through the tentacles of her anemone; it made her itch somewhat, but given how immune she was to most things, that could just be a secondary effect of the toxin interacting with her various anti-toxin and such as she worked on integrating it into her system. Now, for the most part, her anemone was pretty normal; it was a generally standard variety of anemone that you could find on most of the reefs surrounding the village; however, there was a bit of a secret ability it had, one that was rarely seen, and a guarded secret of those of her clan that had it; a hidden tentacle that was extremely long, and due to her human intelligence working in tandem with the natural speed of what is essentially a natural spear... yeah.

The sand was the only reason this guy wasn't pissing himself.

She was using the tentacle in her feet, one from each anemone that acted as the appendages for her; she'd snaked them through the sand and toward the intruding male; tracking his movements and waiting for a reason to inject him with what was likely going to end up being a lethal dose; outside of the fact that she had the anti-toxin pretty much ready to go to use after he'd suffered enough for messing with what was hers. Well, theirs; really. Umiko belonged to her and Ryuu; and neither of them did the sharing thing well. Well, she did it better than him; but not with Umiko. Umiko was theirs. No one touched Umiko. No one touched Ryuu. They where her's. They where her's alone. End of story.

Now, Ryuu was far more... how to say this... in your face, about his claims; dragon nature and all that; she was a bit more... subtle, anemone nature and all that jazz. Anemone where patient creatures; by their very nature they waited until the perfect moment to strike. Dragons... not so much. They just barreled in and owned the place.

She was fine with this, really. It was part of why they worked so well; contrary styles ended up complimenting each other.

She remained solid this time; waiting to see how stupid this human actually was, and was already plotting two things: how to tell anyone that asked why this guy was in the hospital to fuck off, and which pain inducing toxin she was going to hit Umiko with after this annoyance was gone; so that they could get the happy enjoyment factor going again. Fastest way to make all of them happy was to yank the dragon close, get Umiko going, and let things go from there. Good times.

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyTue Sep 01, 2015 6:43 am

So. This wasn't going to end nicely for someone. The messenger had rethought touching her at the last minute thanks to the display that Ryuu was putting on. Yet, it wasn't going to stop him from making what was going to be a likely lethal mistake on his part, soon.

Meanwhile, Umiko had nearly whined when Ryuu had moved: she was an affectionate person to her very core, so close proximity to the few people allowed to touch her is what she was used to. However as she saw the lightning arcing off of him and smelled the electric scent in the air a small whimper escaped her. She liked pain, yes. Mainly due to it converting to pleasure in her brain. But lightning? That hurt in ways that could never feel good: it hurt no matter what with the only exception being very very low doses of the stuff. Of course, she knew Ryuu would never hurt her, but still, it was a natural reaction to what was her weakness.

"Listen here. All I'm trying to do is deliver this letter. But this stupid bitch has to act like I'm the god damn enemy...."

Now, for most people getting called a name was no big deal. They didn't hurt. They didn't bother them. But in Umiko's case? She would have rather hugged a lighting bolt then been called a name. She was a good, kind hearted, loving, and far too forgiving individual. It was why it sometimes got her in trouble on the job: she was too lenient, to willing to give second chances. It was why a very hurt, upset gasp escaped her then. Her eyes brimmed with tears that she tried to instantly force back. While she couldn't feel actual pain most of the time, she definitely felt emotional pain. It made up for the lack of physical pain and often caused her body to respond like it was physically being hurt. Even now her arms wrapped protectively around herself and her shoulders hunched in.

With this response came another: the need to hurt was rearing its ugly head earlier then normal due to the situation. Pain equaled pleasure. Pleasure released chemicals in her brain that would leave her in a happy and blissful state. It was the sure fire way to make her feel better and fast. So, almost unconsciously she dug her nails into her arms, almost instantly deep enough to draw blood. Her emotional turmoil was enough to keep Haikyo at bay, though, which was good since growing claws at this moment in time would have her likely causing dangerous levels of self harm.

The messenger, had he not been dealt with by that point, would throw the message straight at the very upset Umiko...

"Listen here. All I'm trying to do is deliver this letter. But this stupid bitch has to act like I'm the god damn enemy...."

It took Ryuu one moment to process what was said, and another for the messenger to stop spasming and spitting out teeth. In that timeframe, Ryuu had drawn back and punched idiotic messenger in the jaw with a raiton filled fist; a 'gentle' reminder of his place in this situation.

"I'm sure your superiors would love to hear about how you address clients. I myself find it very unprofessional, but then again, thats just me. Maybe they're all for you calling clients a bitch. Who knows?" That lazy drawl, slow syllables rolling off his tongue. There was something hypnotizing about a predator at work, toying with his food. He could have let this messenger go, but where was the fun in that?

"So, how about we make this right? You apologize to little Umiko here, and I wont shove your head up your urethra." He would grin at the man now, showing off the too sharp teeth that seemed to fill his mouth. Those violet eyes held a dangerous glint, one that clearly said he would make good on his promise.

Ooooh, that was not the button to hit. That was a very, very bad button to hit. It was a very much lethal button to hit. You did not insult Umiko around them. You did not approach Umiko around them. You basically did not do anything that she or Ryuu did not approve of around Umiko. This guy? Yeah, that's a line you don't cross.

"If you weren't such a high and mighty bitch, you might get a better reaction from people." Fucks where not something she gave, so she had absolutely no problem calling things as she saw them. This guy? This guy was a pretentious assfuck; and she didn't like him at all. She allowed the tentacles to rise from the sand and wrap around his ankles; at least, if he wasn't somehow fast and reactive enough to avoid them; causing the small nematocysts to fire in response to the sudden solid contact and cause envenomation of the messenger. She was using one of the weaker toxins she had; that of the Echiichthys vipera, or Lesser Weaver. It was not dangerous, not really; just extremely painful, after a few moments. A good way to teach a lesson.

She retracted the tentacles, bringing them back to her body and allowing them to return to large pockets within her anemone where they normally sat, safely stored away until needed. "Umiko, love; come sit with me." She shifted her body some, taking a post that would allow the female to come and sit in her lap if she wished. Once she was there, if she so chose, Mizuko would... well, help her out, a bit; using a milder form of the toxin that was used against the messenger to help her feel better; they'd long ago learned that Mizuko was the perfect person to have around when Umiko was upset, or in need of relief from the effects of her addictions.

A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyWed Sep 02, 2015 5:20 pm

That definitely had to hurt: Umiko had focused her attention back onto Ryuu and the messenger just in time to see him get punched with a fist coated in lightning. The messenger proceeded to fall right onto his ass, spitting out teeth and more than a little dazed from the effects of the raiton. The message he had supposed to have been delivering went flying from his hands and into the air.

Umiko released the painful hold she had had on herself just in time to catch it before it could hit the water. Meanwhile the still dazed messenger was receiving a dose of pain: literally. As soon as the toxin went to work he'd begin to scream in unholy pain and roll about on the ground as if that would somehow help. In between his shouts of pain he would manage a "I'm sorry!"

Umiko meanwhile turned her attention to Mizuko as she heard her name called: she was ignoring the apology from the messenger because she didn't believe it to be truly sincere. She'd wander over to the other female without a moments hesitation, ignoring the drastic temperature difference between the ice she bad been standing on and the sand she now walked upon, the invitation from her parents still in hand. Upon reaching Mizuko she'd sit right on her lap, leaning gently against her and essentially cuddling right up to her. It was nothing out of the ordinary for Umiko: she was far too affectionate and cuddly to care or bother about personal space when it came to either of them. Thankfully though the warm sand had reminded her to bring her temperature back up so she wasn't freezing cold before she sat down.

She would close her eyes with a soft sigh: her fingernails returning to digging rather deeply into her arms in an absent sort of way that clearly meant Umiko was beginning to lose control albeit slower than usual. "Hnn.. I need help..." she would manage to get out upon opening her eyes and looking down upon her hands. She would clasp her clawing hands together forcefully in an attempt to keep herself from causing self harm: both hands turning a reddish white from the pressure.

Arms moved to wrap around the female, creating a sense of protection from the outside world that seemed hellbent on making them miserable on their day off. She wasn't about to let this fucker ruin things anymore than he had; and she had the perfect skill set to do just that. She allowed the tentacles that made up her 'fingers' to press gently against the exposed flesh of Umiko's arms and legs and basically anywhere they touched; her hands where basically large anemone after all, and covered large areas of the body when allowed; and she began releasing a very low dose of a special toxin blend that she had created just for these sort of occasions: it would cause absolutely no harm to Umiko, but it caused the pain sensors in her skin to fire at a level that they'd long sense learned would calm and sooth her when the need for pain was flaring. It had a secondary effect of being an intoxicant to her inner dragon; oddly enough; but you learned to just accept the strange when you where working with mythical beasts and sea creatures.

"Peace, dear. You're safe with me. Just relax and let the medicine work." Calling the toxin medicine wasn't wrong, really; it had a medicinal effect for Umiko, so as strange and almost messed up as that would sound to an outsider, it was perfectly appropriate for them. "Let Ryuu finish handling the asshat his own electrified teeth, and we can get back to relaxing, kay?"

PostSubject: Re: A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only]   A Day at the Lake [Ryuu, Mizuko, or Invite Only] EmptyMon Sep 07, 2015 9:11 pm

As Mizuko wrapped Umiko up in her embrace Umiko could already feel the tension beginning to slowly ease out of her body: just Mizuko's touch alone – much like Ryuu's – calmed her greatly. However, she relaxed further as this 'medicine' of Mizuko's went to work. Her nerve endings fired off in response, pain being translated through her brain as pleasure. Umiko gasped, not in a pained way but in a rather pleased one, and her eyelids fluttered shut as she gave herself over to the sensation.

Mentally, Haikyo also responded; she quieted down and then seemed to just fall asleep in a fashion: which she would remain for a while to come unless Umiko's emotions hit the negative zone again.

Umiko's emotions, at the moment, were rather blissful; evident of the smile that slowly slipped itself across her face as she rested her head against Mizuko. Her body shook slightly, goosebumps breaking out across her flesh as a further response to this 'medicine': more indication of her enjoyment. ”Much better... Thank you.”, Umiko whispered softly as the last bit of tension completely left her body. All thoughts of the messenger were gone; her focus was on the pleasure running through her body as well as Mizuko's embrace: the man could have been brutally being tortured at this point and she wouldn't have noticed or cared.

"Anything, dear." Speaking of torture; that seemed to be what the male had in mind; as he was currently dragging the piss covered messenger off toward the treeline for some... extra teaching. The haughty male had to learn, after all. Not that she cared much, and given what he'd done to Umiko, she was of the same mind as Ryuu; but she was more focused on keeping the other female as happy as possible at the moment, which was the one thing she was uniquely suited to doing.

She used one of the tentacles from her feet to grab at the dropped scroll case; bringing it over for them to worry about later on when either of them cared to check it. It had to be at least slightly important for someone to be sending it on their day off. She really didn't care either way; important or not, her priorities started and stopped with Ryuu and Umiko, so she wasn't about to bother checking it.

Umiko was in heaven at the moment – well, her own personal version as it were. The messenger? Was not. Nor was he going to be considering the way he was being dragged away. Umiko didn't care: in any other mood she would have – she was a sweet, kind, gentle, and above all forgiving person. But, at the moment she was still enjoying the 'high' that came along with her addiction to pain, which meant that outside of her immediate surroundings she wasn't going to notice anything for at least quite a bit longer.

A very content sigh doubled with Umiko resting her head more so against Mizuko. A smile wove its way onto Umiko's face and plastered itself there: she was completely happy again, and very content with this situation at hand. This contentedness was what made her handle the subject she was about to bring up so well: she hated parties, her parents knew she hated parties, and yet they always extended an invitation nonetheless. Umiko knew it was likely because they were kind people who didn't want her to feel excluded, and yet at the same time it made Umiko feel obligated to go even if she really didn't like being surrounded by a bunch of familiar strangers.

”I know what's in that scroll... “, Umiko spoke softly while her fingers idly stroked whatever they came into contact with first: another self-calming mechanism. ”It's an invitation to a party my father brought up to me a few weeks ago.... He said you and Ryuu were invited as well.”

All of that headache over a party invite? Why the unholy fuck couldn't they have just delivered it to their home like normal people? Meh, whatever. No point being upset, it would only upset Umiko, and that wad but something she wanted. Plus, the sounds of torture coming from just behind the tree line (Help me for the love of God someone help meeeeee!), it was hard to stay annoyed; Ryuu was having a blast and that amused her highly. "Wonderful. Do you want to go, dear? "

She allowed the small tentacles that passed as her fingers to do what they did best, sort of, attach to anything they came in contact with, in this case Umiko 's exposed flesh. This had two effects, creating a physiological bond between them, and allowing her to release tiny doses of a mild pain inducing substance that would enhance the blissful high the other female was on. With them 'connected' as they where at that moment, she would feel some of the high and physical pleasure herself, helping to keep her calm and returning that former sense of ' today is awesome ' to then both.

A crunching sound from the treeline. More screams, followed by the sound of someone crying desperately and someone else laughing.

"Have you learned your lesson, my friend? Will you disrespect your superiors again?"

"Yes, yes! Please! Let me go, dont kill me!"

"Very well. Get the hell out of here."

There was the sound of scrambling, terrified wimpers as the messenger limped past the two females. Ryuu continued to chuckle as he approached the female, before plopping onto the ground beside them. He so loved when people were asses. It made breaking them so much for fun. Turning his attention back to Umi and Mizu he tipped his head, almost hurt that they were playing without him. "What was the message?"

Umiko remained all but oblivious to what was going on; she could hear it easily enough but her brain refused to register anything but the pleasant feeling coursing through her entire body. At Mizuko's question she bit her bottom lip in contemplation: she didn't mind her parents parties nor being social, but the idea of her addiction rearing its head while in the midst of all of those people scared her slightly. Her parents knew of her 'affliction' as they called it, but outside of them, Mizuko, and Ryuu, no one else did. There weren't even any records in the village hospital of it because it had always been taken care of privately.

When Ryuu returned from where ever it was he had been – the messenger limping past should have been a clue – she extended her free hand towards him: obviously she wanted him closer. ”My parents invited all of us to one of their parties... but I don't know if I want to go.”

She then shifted slightly and sighed softly but happily: with the current high she was on nothing was going to bother her. ”Well, I want to go... but outside of you two they're the only ones who know about my little issue with pain; and I really have no urge to let anyone else know about it.”

"I'm not against parties, you know I'm all for a good time; but I've never done well around formal settings. My clan might be powerful in some circles; but we don't tend to go to those types of functions unless we have too. Too many stares, too many civilians with... opinions, about our 'modifications'. I wouldn't leave you alone in one of those, though. Not when I can keep people from discovering things you don't want them to easier than Ryuu. A tentacle is easier to hide than teeth and claws." She smirked at the returning dragon; his ideas of 'helping' where awesome, but a bit flashy.

She waved the dragon over, demanding he settle down next to them. She felt the need to get them all closer together. That 'this is mine, this is mine, I want what's mine' urge rearing it's head.

Ryuu grinned at Mizuko and Umiko; he very effective, albeit flashy in his methods of keeping Umi pleased and calm. Spiked collars, thumbscrews, and objects used to make her squirm in public. This used to take the edge off, or to work the poor girl up into a frenzy.

In regards to the party, he would merely shrug and nod, leaning onto the females. He would go if they wished; his family was well known within the village that inviting him would not be seen as odd, and he liked Umiko's parents well enough. Regardless, he wasnt about to let his property out of his sight during something like that. He trusted no one in that manner. Dragons did not like others attempting to touch thier things...

Mizuko stated she would go if Umiko did; neither her nor Ryuu would let her out of their sight in a situation like that and Mizuko was right – she could easily take care of any issues that came up without anyone being the wiser. If anything, Umiko would just end up looking a bit high for a while.

Umiko mulled the idea over for a bit in silence: if she didn't go then she risked upsetting her parents. She knew they would be happy even with a brief appearance; it would appease them and keep them from being irritated with her. However, it was still hard to motivate herself: she didn't like large crowds and there was sure to be a large turnout because there always was. In the end she sighed softly. ”Meh.. if I don't show up my parents will be upset; and I won't forgive myself for upsetting them. Maybe we should just go, make a quick appearance to appease them, and then leasve...”, she commented finally.

Then another sigh and an eye roll as her playful and happy mood bounced instantly back. ”I suppose this means I actually have to put on real clothes, though...” This made sense for two reasons: she knew that the civilians who showed up would complain – not that that was her main motivation for clothing: the other reason happened to be the fact that she knew what would happen if anyone even glanced twice at her in her current attire – it wouldn't end well if someone tried to put the 'moves' on her and it would end even worse if someone got brave enough to try and touch her. ”Meh... I don't like proper clothes...”, she said, pouting playfully.

Absently she stared at her hand, causing little beautiful white scales with blue tips to slowly fade into view and cover her. She flexed her hand slightly, causing the scales to shift and move as she did so. With Haikyo asleep she didn't mind 'playing' with her abilities; and the scales were beautiful to look at.

"That works for me. I can put on some less revealing gloves, reduce the stares for the few minutes we make nice. Mostly. There's no real hiding all of this, unless I wear full sleeves, and that would look... odd." She was holding her right arm up as she said this, examining the differences between her normal human skin and the anemone that was bonded too it. She had a bit of a rare specimen, at least for her generation; it was larger and shaped more like a coral anemone than the cultivated species her clan normally used. Those where soft and easily manipulated into shapes that could pass for normal hands when needed; however hers was almost rock solid, outside of a few joints and such, and couldn't be adjusted the same ways. It was the side effect of being a Taijutsu user; her anemone had compensated for the lack of bones by laying down layers of the cement and rock as support. It was the only reason she was able to use Taijutsu the way she did; and she wasn't about to complain about it. It was everyone else that tended to, but that was because civilians found their anemone to be both beautiful, and disgusting at the same time. They couldn't understand how anyone would trade their perfectly good hands and feet for tentacles and weirdness.

Shrugging lightly, she reached over and splayed her 'hand' across Ryuu's stomach, allowing the tentacles to attach and bring him into this little party of shared happy and such; she could easily have each of her anemone release multiple different substances; and she used the one on him to release a substance that induced a mild euphoria, enhancing the effects of what was being shared via the bond from Umiko.

The male would groan slightly as the tentacle nipped him; in seconds the toxin hit him turning the world into a slightly brighter shade of everything. He felt calm, light headed and giggly. He just loved it when Mizu used her toxins on him like this. It always perked up his mood, despite the very real danger than he could be killed if she overdosed him.

Live life on the edge.

Ryuu would lean in closer to the duo, flashing a fanged grin as hands reached out and grabbed at exposed flesh on both women. It seemed that Mizuko always knew what to do to keep him calm and happy. He would snuggle closer into them, with nothing more to say for the moment.
