Pirates? [Sabaku -> Mori]

Well, this was certainly going to be interesting. She had been 'kidnapped' by pirates and was currently sailing along the rivers and ocean with them as their captive. Oh, she could have escaped easily enough but a free ride was just exactly that; free. She had set out to search for her father, sister, and the rest of her friends after a medical experiment she had been preforming had gone wrong and rendered her back into a child-like state. Once more she was ten years old looking; though she retained all of her past memories and the knowledge she had gained throughout the years.

Her harmless little girl with the teddy bear act had fooled the pirates easily enough and for now she was laying it on thick: she had no intentions of allowing any of the crew nor the captain to know that she could easily blow up their ship and sink them to the bottom of the ocean with a snap of her fingers. No, no need to play that card, yet. Plus, she had no intentions of allowing them to know that in truth she was a bit older than she appeared - that could lead to trouble she wasn't interested in dealing with. For now she looked and sounded just like a child and that's exactly what she was going with.

So, for now Destiny sat in the chair she had been tied to within the captain's private quarters. Her teddybear sat harmlessly on her lap; well, harmless for her considering it was a contract with a powerful Senjutsu clan that at a moments notice could turn into a beastly rocket wielding bear and kill everyone in sight except for its summoner. Destiny's eyes were closed and a peaceful expression her face; no need to look piss-your-pants terrified when her captors were all busy running around the ship like rats at their captains command: something she knew simply because she was putting her chakra radar ability to effect to ensure that no one snuck up on her unawares while also keeping an eye out for any sign of her father or any other familiar face nearby.

The Mossberg was out to sea and currently headed away from the hot desert. The ship seemed to just fly along the water's surface. All of the crew would have rather stayed for a few more days, but they were just as anxious as Alec was to get out in the water and stretch the Mossberg's sea legs. Once out of the hot desert, the temperature lowered to normal, and after traveling so far, the scenery along the shorelines began to turn green again.

Alec was standing behind the wheel. His cloak, white hair and tassels to his blindfold all flopped about behind him in the winds. Occasionally Alec would steer the ship around rock formations and small islands. The crew were all singing a shanty in tandem that Alec found catchy, and was soon humming along once he caught on. All of them had armed themselves while visiting Sabaku; most of them being seen with swords and kunai.

Fish and other whild life could be seen on either sides of the Mossberg, seemingly following them. Dolphin sometimes jumped out of the water. The scenery and the smells around them were beautiful, but Alec was careful not to let himself get too caught up in it; rumor had it that there were pirates in these waters. If it came down to a fight, he was ready for that...

Konran was sitting at the back of the ship, leaned upon one of the rear walls. He was caught up in the scenery, the fish, the plants, the green on the shorelines. The blue skies and white clouds. He'd never seen this before. The orange glow was still surrounding him since he was out in the sun for the first time. He'd grown used to it.

With the Shift Blade leaned on his left shoulder Konran wondered if they were really going to get attacked by pirates, or if Holeman was just trying to scare them. Were there really bad guys out in beauty like this? He'd wait and see.

"Oh... Alec," Konran said, suddenly remembering something. "Uh... I know you must be wondering why I glow like this... it's because of experiments that were done on me. it's called Light Release... something to do with Raiton and something else called Yang... by combining them I can do certain things with light... I figured i'd tell you since you were so open with me..."

He didn't want to keep any secrets. Alec and his people had been good by him so far. Whatever else he wanted to know, Konran was prepared to tell.

The adventure in Sabakugakure was over, but Artemis couldn't be happier. While everyone else had been hanging out and chilling Artemis and Jinx had gotten a good bit of training in. Artemis was helping Jinx to become stronger, while also teaching her a few jutsu - safely of course. One of the training fields in Sabakugakure had been opened, and the pair had trained up until the last minute. This, of course, meant that Jinx was currently passed out in bed and completely oblivious to the trip - she had simply laid down when they got on the ship and it was lights out for her monkey friend after that.

Artemis was still awake though, far too used to training for it to tire her out like that. If anything she was still pumped and a bit hyper. She had heard that there might be pirate encounters on the water, and she honestly hoped that it did happen: it'd give her an outlet to vent some of this pent up energy that she still had left over.

At the moment she was standing nearby her father, watching him steer the ship and the crew go about their tasks. Artemis reached up as she had already several times and pulled her black beanie style hat down tighter over her head since she didn't want to risk it blowing away in the wind. She then returned to zipping her jacket zipper up and down while listening as Konran explained to her father why exactly he was glowing - something she too had been wondering but hadn't wanted to ask about. "I've never heard of light release before; that sounds awesome."

The pirate crew whose ship she was on continued to scurry about, going about various tasks that Destiny didn't bother to pay all that much attention to. So long as they were away from her she didn't care. The direction the ship was traveling, however, was something she was paying attention to. The more she sat with her eyes closed the more she began to notice that her chakra radar was stronger, which meant she could see several bounderies to the nearby lands. A bit of desert, a bit of forest, and the ocean inbetween.

There were several ships on the ocean as well besides them, but most seemed to be merchant vessels. However, there was one ship, as she sat there with her eyes closed, that caught her attention. She had almost over looked it at first, thinking it was just another merchent ship. However, the man at the wheel caught her attention and held it: the hair, the clothing, and the blind fold were familiar enough - her father was captain of a ship? She didn't recognize the crew  on board, nor several other individuals nearby including one of whom was sleeping. However, she did also recognize her sister standing near her father: a sister who while being younger now looked older than her.

Right, so it was time to put a plan into action - perferably one that would keep her out of the ocean and burning wreckage of a ship.

Using one of the abilities that came with this increased chakra radar Destiny sent out a pulse; a specific pulse that would raise allied targets perception while lowering those of her enemies - specifically lowering those of the pirates on the ship. The goal she was aiming for behind this was to not only draw her father's attention towards herself, but also keep the pirates from noticing them until it was too late. Now, it was time to see if it worked...after all, she did still look like herself, just younger, so she was sure her father would notice her sooner or later either way.

Chakra Radar:

"Light Release, huh," Alec said, looking back at Konran. He'd never heard of the technique before, but knew that Konran couldn't have been the only one to know it. Still, Konran was unique. It seemed like he had control over light as well as shadows. He was already strong, and would only become stronger. Alec still had his Chimera Technique, and thought of borrowing Light Release for his own use. "The control of light. It sounds like a useful ability..."

The Mossberg cut through the waters while headed in the direction of Mori. The land masses widened out, revealing more open sea. Islands dotted the horizon here and there. Small fishing vessels could be spotted in various places.

Something ahead suddenly caught Alec's attention, a release of chakra in a pulse-like fashion. Ordinarily Alec wouldn't have really paid it any mind, but something felt... familiar. Upon zooming in, Alec saw another ship. It had a Jolly Roger for a flag, meaning these were some of the pirates Holeman mentioned. The scum on the deck looked just like pirates would, possessing crude weaponry, and none of them seeming very dangerous, except for the captain and his first mate.

However, there was someone in the captain's quarters that was small, but had vast amounts of chakra. There was also something strange about the toy in her lap. She appeared tied to a chair, and upon closer inspection... Alec came to see that this child was none other than his oldest daughter, Destiny, somehow in child form. He recognized her chakra signature too easily; it was actually her. But why was she a child again? Why was she tied up on a pirate's ship? A shocked look appeared on his face, which soon melted into rage.

"Mother FUCK---" scowled Alec as he spun the wheel to maneuver the ship towards the pirates. There were few things that made Alec angry nowadays; one of them being fucking with family. That was a big no-no in his book.

He didn't plan on leaving any of them alive.

Alec said his technique sounded useful. Konran had never really gotten the chance to use and test it out, so he didn't really know himself. He still didn't know how to take being complimented either, so he only shook his head...

The continued riding along on the water, until Alec suddenly seemed highly pissed off. Konran looked from him to the front of the boat and out a distance, making out what looked to be a ship. Why was Alec pissed off?

"Um... You alright, Alec?" Konran asked. Maybe he saw something with those chakra eyes that he wouldn't be able to see until they got closer. Konran stood up and tightened his grip on the Shift Blade's scabbard...

Things went from calm to pissed in less than a second which caused Artemis to blink in shock. She had never really seen her father pissed off before, in fact, she had only really seen him calm and collected. Sometimes he might look a little irritated, but it was nothing compared to how he looked now. "What's wrong?", she asked curiously as a kunai was slipped out of her weapons pouch and into her hand: not all things could be fought with Genjutsu and she knew it.

She figured her father had saw something that angered him, and it got her wondering if perhaps she should go wake up Jinx, or if she couldn't do that at least stay down there with her in case something happened.

So, with that in mind she would wait until her father responded - if he did - before she would head down inside to go see if she could wake Jinx up or not...

Destiny had kept watch on her father, waiting to see his reaction from the pulse she had sent out. She watched as his calm demeanor that he had had while speaking to the individual she didn't recognize changed to one of anger as he noticed her. A turn of the ship's wheel and she watched as her father changed the ships course so that it was heading straight towards the pirate ship: straight towards her. Well, at least she wouldn't have to worry about being thrown overboard and having to swim the rest of the way home - pity for the pirates that they were all about to die.

Knowing that her father was on his way towards her location Destiny wiggled and struggled against the ropes that bound her. After a good thirty seconds of trying she managed to move her arms where she could get better leverage and was able to break free. Before the teddy bear on her lap could fall she caught him by the hand and hugged him to her chest as she stood to her feet. "Come on, Tibbers. Daddy's coming."

"Oi! The fuck you think you're doing out of that chair!", came a voice from nearby. Destiny lifted her head to see herself staring into the face of the ugly captain of the ship: someone she had stopped paying attention to when she noticed that her father was so close nearby. "I said: the fuck you think you're doing out of that chair?!", he repeated, given that Destiny hadn't answered him.

"Escaping.", Destiny responded before diving forward and right between the captain's legs. The captain attempted to grab at her, but missed due to Destiny's much smaller size. Once past the captain she ran out onto the deck only to come face to face with the crew.

"Now what are you going to do little girl? Is that little teddy bear your hugging going to help you escape?", the captain drawled as he came up behind her; clearly none of them had noticed the ship approaching them quickly.

"As a matter of fact he is... I want you all to meet..." with a sudden toss Destiny released the bear towards the crew, "TIBBERS!" With his name spoken the teddy bear roared to life, shifting into a much larger form of a full size bear. Tibbers reared up on his back legs, making him stand nearly eight feet tall, and let out a tremendous and very pissed off sounding roar.

"FULL SAIL," Alec yelled, and the men went about making the Mossberg travel as fast as it could.

"Your sister is on the pirate ship ahead of us," Alec said to Artemis, gripping the wheel tight as the ship suddenly picked up speed. It was a good thing he had that ram put on the front of the ship, because he intended on running into them full force. Hopefully he'd be able to get to Dez before she was thrown overboard. "But something's wrong. She's in the body of a little girl again, even younger than you!"

"Pirate vessel ho, sir!" one of the crew yelled.

What had happened? Did this have something to do with those pirates? Or had this happened another way? At this point it really didn't matter. It appeared that Destiny saw them coming and began making an escape. The captain was trying to stop her. She ran out on deck and threw the teddy bear she was holding into the air - Alec was wondering why - for it to suddenly transform into what looked like a real bear, standing taller than even he and roaring. It appeared that his first daughter had picked up on some new tricks.

Still, it did little to shake the rage he was feeling to know that one of his children was among scum. "WHO'S UP FOR TAKING THAT SHIP," Alec yelled to the crew. "SHOUT AYE!"

The entire crew shouted it. Many began drawing weapons and getting ready for battle as the noticed the pirate ship ahead of them. With this new revelation the crew began singing a different shanty. The Mossberg sped like a torpedo towards the pirate ship, with the intention of ramming straight into it.

Alec said to Artemis that her sister, another one of Alec's kids, was on the pirate ship in front of them. He also said that she was in the body of a little girl, even younger than Artemis, which he didn't quite understand. Perhaps this would be explained after this was all over with, so for now he didn't think about that too much. Another one of Alec's kids was in the hands of bad guys, so Konran would help him get her back by any means.

The ship sped up, and from the looks of things, Alec was going to run the Mossberg into their ship. He asked who else wanted to take the ship, and everyone yelled Aye. "Aye!" Konran said with them.

As they approached, Konran figured that perhaps they would see them coming, and try to get out of the way. Konran decided to prevent that. it was the sails that made the ships move, so if their ship no longer had any, they wouldn't be able to avoid what was about to happen.

So Konran made his way to the front of the Mossberg and put the Shift Blade at his feet for a moment. Since he was still glowing and he was outside, the technique that he put into play didn't cost him nearly as much chakra as it would at night or indoors. After forming hand signs, Konran released what highly resembled a dragon made of light.

Light Release - Light Dragon:

Chakra Count: 790/800

The dragon, about 10 feet in length, soared through the air with a loud sound and aimed itself at the pirate ship's sails. After an explosion, the sails of the pirate ship caught fire, effectively rendering the pirate ship immobile. Everything after this would be simple, or so he hoped...

Her sister had somehow been changed back into a child, a child younger than herself, and it was her who was on that ship with the pirate scum. That definitely explained why her father was pissed off, and it was also why she too was now angry. Her father changed the ship so that it was heading straight towards the other ship, and she had a feeling that he intended to ram them given the speeds at which the ship they were were now traveling.

Artemis found Jynx quick enough and gave her monkey friend a quick shake as she heard the crew shout Aye; clearly they were all for going toe to toe with some pirates. "Jynx, you need to wake up. We've got pirate trouble. They've got my sister.", she explained quickly, hoping that Jynx would indeed wake up.

Artemis meanwhile headed back outside, kunai still in hand; grabbing on to the door so that she didn't go flying when they rammed the other ship. She had no intentions of going into the ocean, after all.

Jynx found herself being startled awake; Artemis was in a panic and shaking her while loudly saying that she should wake up. Thankfully, Jynx had slept enough that her mind was able to process what Artemis was saying - her sister was a captive on a pirate ship. Given the way the ship felt like it was moving they were moving very quickly. As Jynx concentrated on her chakra radar she was able to pick up that it looked like they were heading to ram the ship. This was definitely an interesting thing to wake up to.

"I'm up! Let's do this!", Jynx said as she jumped to her feet in a very monkey like fashion. She pulled her own kunai, arming herself the same as Artemis. She had done a lot of training with her new friend while they were in Sabaku, and while she still couldn't really use jutsu she had gotten a lot better at physical fighting, and planned on putting her skills to the test. Jynx didn't like the idea of pirates, especially pirates who had family of her new friends hostage. That wasn't sitting right with her as well.

Jynx braced herself just like Artemis had, waiting to plow right into the other ship and hoping that they reached Artemis' sister before any harm came to her.

Admist the firey bursting forth of Tibbers came another burst of fire; only this one from above. Though, Destiny wasn't quite sure if it had been fire that burned away the pirates sails like that or something else. Either way she was sure she was about to find it. It was at that point that the pirates began to notice that something was wrong; they had saw neither Destiny nor the giant monster of a bear do anything that would cause their sails to burn away and thus trap them where they were.

It was then from the crows nest that a shout came out from one of the pirates: "Brace yourselves! We're about to be rammed!" Scramble and panic ensured; some of the pirates were more worried about what Tibbers was about to do with them while others were more worried about what would happen if they were rammed like they were clearly about to be.

Destiny glanced over, saw her father's ship coming in fast, and jumped up and onto Tibbers back. The bear, thinking quickly and showing far higher intelligence than the average bear, roared and hooked its claws straight through the deck of the ship. Destiny kept her focus on keeping a grip on Tibbers while Tibbers kept focus on keeping a grip on the ship so that neither of them went overboard when they were rammed. Meanwhile, Tibbers put one of his abilities into play to keep the pirates from being able to touch either one of them: surrounding them in what was clearly a shield made out of exceptionally hot fire.

This fire caused the nearest of the pirates to jump back with a pained shout, already showing the signs of nasty fourth degree burns. "Those burns are about to be the least of your worries when my daddy gets here!", she called out, further causing shock and panic from the pirates attempting to arm themselves, while also trying to deal with the chaos breaking out.

Tibbers Jutsu - Molten Shield:

Konran, one of those that shouted aye for taking the ship, went up front and put one of his light techniques into play. He created what looked to be a dragon, and caused it to burn the sails of the pirate ship. That meant that they wouldn't be able to get out of the way. It was good thinking, and Alec would be sure to thank him later.

"BATON YOURSELVES, LADS!"

The Mossberg smashed into the pirate ship. Alec could see that Destiny had jumped onto her bear summon, and it had rooted itself to the spot. The ram of the Mossberg tore a significant chunk of the pirate ship off, ensuring that it would never sail again, while Alec could see many who'd fallen off at impact. The crew, taunting the pirates, telling them things like "get ready to bleed" and "this is your last day living," threw grappling hooks attached to ropes over to the ship to reel it in.

Alec didn't wait. Letting go of the wheel he ran down the deck and jumped over onto the pirate ship, executing a slice with the Kane Katana that traveled through 2 of the unarmored pirates easily as he landed. With an evil scowl Alec started walking towards the captain, who was pointing at Alec and sending men to deal with him. Without breaking his stride, Alec slashed through each man that came at him. Some lost legs. Some lost arms. Some were decapitated, some were completely cut in half. Some were sent flying through the air.

The crew began to swing and jump over after Alec, yelling and hollering in delight. Sword fights broke out on what remained of the pirate ship. Bodies were flying, mostly because of Alec, who was still headed towards the captain.

The Mossberg rammed into the pirate ship, knocking some overboard. Konran grabbed onto the railing near the wheel beforehand to brace. Konran could see a little girl on top of what looked like a flaming bear; she had to be Alec's daughter. Crew members started to reel in the pirate ship, but Alec was in motion even before that.

Konran followed him. Alec jumped over onto the ship, and so did Konran. With how easily Alec began to plow through the pirates, ducking several bodies, Konran knew he wouldn't have to use any real abilities against them. A pirate ran at him with a cutlass raised to swing. Konran drew the Shift Blade and blocked the swing which broke the cutlass, then kicked the pirate in the mouth, throwing him overboard. Two others ran at him. He blocked swings from both, slashing the stomach of one open, and the lower jaw of the other. The pirate with the stomach wound fell and began to convulse, while the other had blood shooting from his face wound, blinding him. He stumbled about until eventually falling over board.

The rest of the crew came aboard and it turned into a free-for-all. The sounds of battle and swords clashing were all that could be heard. Konran began to look around for loot and goodies while occasionally slashing a pirate or stabbing them in various areas.

Artemis, through the doorway she was standing in, could see the pirate ship as they rammed it. This also meant that she had a perfect view of her older - but now little - sister. It was the strangest sight she had saw in a long time: her sister gripped on top of a giant flaming bear who had hooked itself into the ship in a clear method to keep it from being dislodged as the ship was rammed. Had Destiny caused the bear to do that, or had it done it itself? Odd, but now wasn't the time to get distracted.

Knowing that Jynx would likely follow her Artemis removed several more kunai from her pouch as she followed her father and Konran across to the other ship: making the jump quite easily. Artemis landed gracefully, using her small size and natural speed to allow her to duck and dodge several pirates that came her way - causing several of those whom she had dodged around to go tripping and falling overboard and into the murky depths of the ocean below.

Once Artemis came skidding to a stop from her most recent dodge she sent several kunai expertly flying through the crowd. Each kunai she threw found their mark in the neck, chest, or back of some pirates, all while easily missing any of the crew from the ship. "Y'all messed up when you decided to mess with my sister!", Artemis called out tauntingly as she threw two senbon straight into the nearest eyes of a pirate coming straight for her, instantly blinding the man. As she moved towards her next target she could see her father out of the corner of her eye working his way towards the captain: she had a feeling that guy was going to pay worst of all.

More than ready to go into her first official battle Jynx followed closely behind Artemis. She too easily made the jump across the ship and to the pirate's one. While Artemis worked her way skillfully through the crowd while ducking and dodging, and Konran and Alec likewise cleared their own paths, Jynx headed upwards. She was part monkey after all and she was going to put it to use: she was a useful climber and she found herself wondering just how good the pirates were.

In the crow's nest she found one of the crew about to launch what looked like rocks down from the sling shot in his hand. Moving quickly Jynx took the kunai in her hand and sent it flying right towards the pirate. The kunai embedded itself into the pirates wrist which caused him to holler out in pain. Jynx didn't hesitate to move closer and once she had the pirate within arms reach she grabbed him by the front of the shirt while hanging off the edge of the basket. She pulled, allowing momentum to help hoist the pirate up and out of the basket. With a quick glance below to ensure the pirate wouldn't land on any allies she released the man to allow him to go falling and screaming: hitting the deck hard enough to either knock him unconscious or quite possibly kill him.

Jynx was off again, walking along the ropes with an ease of balance, while heading towards the next crew member who was attempting to hide like a coward from the melee below.

Her father came over even before the ship was pulled closer, where he then began to hack his way expertly through the pirates in his way while making his way constantly towards the captain. The captain, like most cowards, seemed content on sending his crew to die before him as he attempted to stop her father by using his own mates as cattle for the slaughter.

Another individual whom she didn't recognize but who had come following her father began to attack the crew as well with a strange looking sword. The kid looked like he knew what he was doing as he too began to dispatch of the crew members in a quick and effeciant fashion.

Then came her sister, dodging and diving underneath of the pirates while sending kunai flying into chests, necks, and backs. This was followed by a close shot from some senbon that effectively blinded a pirate and which looked quite a bit painful.

Then a monkey girl followed over with the rest of the ships crew as well. The monkey girl took the high rode, and effectively removed an individual from the crows nest to send him falling to his potential death. All before rushing off with a great deal of balance to go after another crew member who was attempting to hide from what was certainly going to be a timely death.

Destiny of course didn't remain where she was. Still on Tibbers back the bear, now that the ship had been properly rammed and was settling still enough again to safely move, reared up and swiped at the closest pirates he could get to while avoiding any crew who had come from Alec's ship. The bear knew, of course, who Alec was because she had told him about him - therefore the bear knew who he could and couldn't attack.

A pirate rushing towards Tibbers was grabbed in a clawed paw and turn into pieces before being thrown at another pirate. That pirate was sent toppling over the ship, clutching the torso of his now dead crew mate. Tibbers let out a roar, looking around for his next potential target.

Alec knocked 3 pirates airborne with one swipe of his arm, walking up to where the wheel of the ship was. The captain and his first mate were there. One of the airborne pirates got caught up within some of the masts and burnt sails overhead. One fell to smash directly onto his face, which produced a sound that resembled splat and a nasty stain. his body began to twitch and convulse while blood began to spread underneath his head, which looked smashed open. The third fell into the water, where shark creatures had gathered and began eating those unlucky to have fallen into the drink. The waters were turning red and screams of those being eaten combined with the sounds of battle on deck.

The captain's first mate took his shirt off, revealing a muscular torso filled with tattoos. He stretch and popped his joints in a manner that made him seemingly expand somewhat. Looking confident that he was going to break the skinny blind guy in half, he quickly dashed towards Alec, attempting to surprise him. But Alec dashed as well, moving so swiftly that it seemed that he disappeared from sight. The first mate looked surprised. Alec moved around the first mate so fast that it looked like there were 3 of him. He came to a stop behind the first mate, sheathing his sword again and continuing towards the captain. The first mate stood there for several moments with a look of shock on his face, before his left arm fell off, then his right arm. Finally his head fell off of his shoulders. The armless and headless body started walking until it reached the rail and fell overboard for hungry sharks to tear the body into a bloody mess.

Infinite Slash Combo:

It was at this point that the captain, being strong in his own right, decided to give up. He threw his weapon to the side and held up his hands. Upon seeing their leader give up, the rest of the crew that remained followed suit. All of them dropped their weapons and gave up. The Mossberg crew began to cheer.

"Don't kill me, please," said the captain.

"I'm not gonna kill you," responded Alec, and the captain gave a relieved sigh. It was because of this that he failed to notice the Raiton gathering around Alec's left hand. When the chirping sound became audible the captain looked to Alec and his hand with wide eyes, just in time to see that hand speed towards his chest and dig it's way into his ribcage. The captain convulsed wildly on Alec's hand several moments, before Alec shoved the captain off his hand with his right foot. The captain spilled backwards, crashing into the railing behind him before going to the floor. He was heavily injured, but still alive.

Chidori:

Chakra: 875/900

Using Katon chakra to burn the blood and bits from his hand, Alec turned and walked back down to where Destiny was with her pet bear. The Mossberg crew began to loot the pirate ship and load the goods onto the Mossberg. Not knowing if the animal would get violent with him, Alec bravely walked right up to it and lifted his child from the bear's back to look her over. This was actually Destiny; he would never mistake one of his own children. She didn't seem hurt or injured.

"Who did this to you, Dez?" Alec asked, still looking furious. "Point out the one who put their hands on you, so I can cut them off and feed them to him." Most of the remaining crew began to look terrified. "Tell me how you ended up with this scum while you're at it too."

Konran slashed and kicked several more of the pirates that came towards him. He noticed that there were sharks in the water eating the pirates that had fallen in. Some of the water was red and had guts and body parts floating in it. While searching dead pirates' pockets, he wasn't finding anything too good, but he did manage to snag a few ryo from them.

Then, after Alec made his way to the captain and his best man, the rest of the crew were giving up. Everyone was cheering, but Konran just looked confused. One of the pirates had a cigar in his mouth. Konran took it from his lips as he held his hands up in defeat and smelled it. He'd read about them in books the tutors gave him back home and had always wanted to try one. While walking towards where the pirate captain was, Konran tore the wet bit of the end of the cigar off and tossed it, then put it at his lips to take a drag. He coughed several times, but didn't realize - or know - that this was no ordinary cigar. Filled with something green, the effects started to take hold of him instantly.

Alec performed a Raiton technique that put a big hole in the chest of the captain, then went down near where the child with the bear was. Konran approached and went through the pockets of the captain with his eyes half closed; a calm feeling coming over him for the first time in his life. Things began to become clearer and colorful for some reason. The captain didn't really have anything of interest either, so Konran took his big hat with the feather on it, and put it on his head.

With a smoke trail following him, Konran went down to stand next to Alec as he made sure his daughter was ok. Because of the captain hat only the bottom of his face could be seen, with that "cigar" at his lips.

The pirate crew definitely seemed to go down easily enough. It took Artemis only a second or two to really get into her stride as she made her way across the boat while ducking and dodging attacks launched at her from the pirates. She would hit some with her projectile weapons, dodge others, and retrieve her weapons only to reuse them by repeating the process. One by one, two by two, and three by three the pirate crew began to fall at her hand: some dying instantly while others lived long enough to feel several moments of pain until Artemis removed the weapons from them which caused them to bleed out quickly enough.

Artemis as she moved also glanced up at Jynx from time to time to ensure that her new friend was okay: Jynx had learned a lot during their training session in Sabaku, and seemed to be doing exceptionally well. Her new friend was also proving to be quite the climber, though that was to be expected considering she was part monkey. It seemed like those who got in Jynx's way up on the ropes and lines stood little to no chance of surviving.

Konran seemed to be handling his own as well, and her father had reached the first mate and captain - the first mate being dispatched of quickly enough, and the captain following a simliar way soon after. Konran looted the crew and captain while her father turned her attention onto Destiny. With the crew keeping their hands in the air Artemis kept an eye on them while listening to the conversation at hand: she too was curious as to what happened to her sister and who was responsible for it.

The next pirate to cross her path up on the lines was rather skillfully swept off of his feet with a low sweeping kick. The next she encountered actually chose to try and jump into the shark infested water; figuring he would fare better hitting the water than he would hitting the hard deck of the ship: which of course failed as soon as the sharks realized there was fresh meat to feast upon.

With all of those up top having been dispatched of Jynx turned her attention below in time to see Alec end the captain's reign. The rest of the crew who was still alive put their hands up into the air in what was clearly a sign of surrender. Jynx came to rest on a lower rope in a crouched position where she watched and listened what was going on below. As she sat there she sniffed the air, smelling a strange smell coming off of the cigar that Konran seemed to have.

Her father handled the first mate with ease, cutting him into pieces and ending his life. The captain began to beg for his life as all bullies tended to do when they realized they had reached the end of the line. Her father said he wasn't going to kill him and then hit him with an attack she had seen others use before. The male with the strange sword began to go about looting people, including taking a cigar and the captains hat. Her sister landed nearby but seemed to be keeping her eye on the crew who had their hands up in the air, while the girl who resembled a monkey looked on from her perch above them.

Her father lifted her up off of Tibbers back and gave her a look over. The bear, once free from Destiny, simply sat down on his butt and watched in a harmless and non-threatening manner. "I was home working on a medical experiment when some lightning hit the wrong spot; it caused things to go a bit haywire and I ended up being reverted back into a child. I tried for a few days to revert things back, even using my special technique that allows me to permanently change the way myself or others appear, but even though it would work for a few hours it didn't stick. I just kept getting changed back like this. I waited a few more days and kept watch on myself long enough to notice that I actually was growing - very slowly, like a normal child would."

"I figured I'd come try and find you guys, since I knew that Hikari was with you, and see if her and I could figure out some way to reverse this. I paid some merchants to allow me to sail around with them on their ship; I figured I'd eventually spot you or someone else. Anyway, I was pretty tired and they were throwing a little party on their ship. I ended up turning the volume of my headphones down - which, one of the pirates took off of me - and I didn't hear the pirates attacking until it was too late because I was deep asleep. By then I had two choices; either kill them all and end up swimming for it since I was in the middle of the ocean and couldn't control a ship by myself, or allow them to capture me and wait until either someone came along whose boat I could get to or we reached land... I figured swimming was the worst of the two ideas so I allowed them to capture me. They didn't actually hurt me though; they just tied me up. Pretty sure the captain had some bad ideas, but you kind of made him a non-issue."

She suddenly nodded to Tibbers, figuring she might as well explain the giant bear. "That's Tibbers by the way. He's one of the members of a senjutsu clan of bears. When I was leaving I found him stuck in a trap; because I helped him and healed him he told me who he really was and introduced me to the rest of my family. He also chose to become sort of a permanent summon." As Destiny paused Tibbers lifted his right paw and waved in a very human like fashion. "Most of the time he looks like an ordinary teddy bear since his appearance like that tends to be a bit scary."

"You've got a very brave daughter: she didn't hesitate to help me when I needed her. I don't normally see people like that these days so my clan decided to allow ourselves to become summons once more.", Tibbers spoke up.

The bear didn't seem to mind Alec picking Dez up to look at her, giving hint of high intelligence. Dez began to explain how a medical experiment she was working on went wrong, causing her to turn back into a child. She'd tried to make that transformation/medical jutsu of hers work to turn her back to normal, but it only worked for a few hours. It wouldn't last forever since after careful watch, she'd come to see that she was growing.

She soon came looking for him and Artemis, as well as Hikari since she and Kurai had set out to look for them too, in the hopes that Hikari could somehow help fix the situation. A ship she was on got hijacked by pirates, and she was taken captive, mostly because if she killed them all she'd would have had quite a swim on her hands. They didn't hurt her, and she played along until he appeared.

The bear was named Tibbers. She explained how he was part of a Senjutsu clan, and how she'd saved him from a trap. Because of such, Tibbers introduced Dez to the rest of his family and volunteered to be Dez's summon, cleverly disguised as a harmless toy bear. Tibbers, much like other animals in Senjutsu Clans such as Little Kong and his big brother Kong in the Great Apes, and Boss Crow in the Sage Crows, could speak. He complimented on how Dez was brave, and because of that bravery his clan once again became mainstream.

"Tibbers, huh," Alec said, calming down once again, the evil scowl disappearing from his face. He rubbed the top of the bear's head. "Thank you for sticking by my daughter. I'm Alec, by the way. Welcome to the family."

The first mate of the Mossberg approached Alec. "Alec, what will you have us do?" he asked.

"Take everything that isn't nailed down, then sink this piece of shit," he replied, turning to walk towards the rail while still carrying Dez. The pirates began to protest and look terrified. Alec motioned for Tibbers, Artemis, Konran and Jynx to follow him, and jumped off of the pirate ship back over to the Mossberg.
