Just Fooling Around [Open][No-Kill] Empty
PostSubject: Just Fooling Around [Open][No-Kill]   Just Fooling Around [Open][No-Kill] EmptySun Nov 22, 2015 8:27 pm

"There she is! Stop her before she defaces anymore public property!", came the shout from off to the left of her. Chiho's head whipped around, her hand raised and pointer finger waiting on the spray nozzle within her hand. She had been in the midst of spray painting what was a very detailed, life sized painting of a mostly nude female whose private parts were covered in her flowing long hair, however it seemed like someone had spotted her and reported her to the local police.

Grinning to herself, and feeling the usual adrenaline rush that came with getting into trouble, Chiho quickly snapped the lid back onto the can of spray paint in her hand and then slipped it into her messenger bag. A turn of her heels and she took off running across the roof of the one floor building she had been on: she had been using it as a height advantage to be able to reach the building attached right next to it that was three stories high: it had been some nice open wall space and had made a perfect impromptu canvas. Instead of slowing as she reached the edge of the roof Chiho just pushed herself harder and further. Upon reaching the very edge of the ledge she pushed off and leapt across the six foot gap of the alley below and landed on the roof next door.

"Stop running right this instant!", she heard the police yell behind her. Chiho, as usual, simply ignored them and kept pushing herself onward. She knew the civilian police, which was who was currently chasing her, wouldn't be able to keep up with her for long. Even though they were trained, and likely seasoned, they weren't shinobi: and genin or not she was faster than them hands down and better trained to boot.

"Catch me if you can!", Chiho called back tauntingly as a grin spread across her face. As she kept running across the roof she was on she darted off to the left so that she could continue to run. She headed straight towards the wall of the two story building in front of her and sped up. As she reached the wall she kicked her foot up it, causing herself to hoist up high. She reached up, grabbing hold of the ledge of the second story roof and pulled herself up. Panting and now able to hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears she looked back to see the civilian police struggling to even get up on the one floor building she had just been on: they were out of breath, swearing, and very annoyed.

Laughing freely Chiho simply turned again and took off running, heading from building to building as she moved further away from the civilian police: it wasn't like they even knew who she was given the skull candy mask she had on and the fact that she had her hood up... No, she was about to get away with this, again, scott free.

PostSubject: Re: Just Fooling Around [Open][No-Kill]   Just Fooling Around [Open][No-Kill] EmptyWed Nov 25, 2015 9:17 pm

'....Mmm, tea. That really does hit the spot.', Umiko found herself thinking as she took the first sip of what was seeming like a promising cup of fresh vanilla chai tea. She was seated outside of one of her favorite cafe's in the village in the bright sun that for once she welcomed due to its warmth. She had brought a good book with her and enough ryo to ensure she would be kept with a near constant supply of tea while she relaxed. She was still hurting a bit from her /accident/ involving a raiton wielding maniac a few days prior, but she was well enough to be out of the house and out and about for a while so long as she didn't over do it.

So, a good book and delicious tea? They were the perfect sort of combination for a day like today. A day that she hoped was going to be quiet and relaxing and rather uneventful.

"Stop running right this instant!"

...But of course that wasn't going to be the case, was it? With a soft sigh Umiko brought her cup of tea down slowly and set it on the table in front of her followed by the book that had been in the other hand - a book so well used and loved that when she placed it down it laid flat as could be on its spine, thus marking her page without her having to dog-ear the corners.

Icey blue eyes darted off to the right, the direction that the shouting had come in, and the sight that Umiko took in she found to be a rather amusing one. A young girl was running on top of the buildings in a way that suggested she was either a shinobi or a free-runner, or perhaps even a bit of both. The civilian police whom were chasing her were clearly frustrated due to their inability to not only keep up but to effectively catch her. Therefore, the civilian police force was shouting and making all sorts of an annoying racket.

Sighing to herself Umiko stood from her seat, picked up her cup of tea, and downed it quickly. She then picked up her book, closed it, and slipped it into the small messenger bag she herself carried for just that purpose. She laid down the appropriate ryo needed to pay for her drink, and then glanced ahead of herself to see where exactly the female had gone. Spotting her quickly enough Umiko took off, albeit a bit slower than her usual self, in the direction of the young female. There was no telling what would happen to the girl if she ran into the wrong ninja having the wrong sort of day, so Umiko figured it best that she do the catching instead: though, she had no idea why the police were chasing her to begin with.

"You won't catch me, so you should just give up and go back to chasing little pick pockets and shit!", Chiho called out to her pursuers. Really she didn't understand why the civilian police even tried at this point: they had only ever caught her once and that was because she had been spray painting a building without a mask on to hide who she was: they hadn't caught her initially but had figured out who she was and came knocking at the orphanage later on. She had learned from her mistake though which was why she always wore one now. Even if they technically knew it was her there was nothing they could prove. All she ever had to do was get far enough away not to be seen taking her mask and hoodie off, stash them somewhere that couldn't be found nor connected to her, and then go on about her business. Simple, yet effective.

The only flaw in that plan however was when it came to the ninja of the village, more particularly those with higher rank than her. Her fellow genin tended to either think her funny or annoying or a bit of both. Those with rank higher than her? They found her to be a pest. Most left her to be handled by the civilian police given her crimes weren't all that severe and thus a waste of their time.

Today, wasn't going to be one of those days apparently though. With a backward glance to check the progress of the civilian police - or lack of progress as she had been assuming - she noticed someone new following her. At a glance she knew this to be one of the higher ranking shinobi of the village even though she didn't know her name nor her exact rank. If this particular female was following Chiho then Chiho knew she was going to have to put out all of the stops because she didn't intend on being caught if she could help it.

Deciding to push herself to new limits that's exactly what she went about doing: she put her entire heart and soul into her running, pushing herself as fast as she could and as hard as she could. Each leap from one roof to another became longer, each stride pushed her a little harder and a little faster than before. What had been a game before was now real: and the adrenaline rush she was getting from it was a high she loved.

Umiko always made it a point to get to know who was who, including up and coming genin who had been recently promoted: knowing who you were dealing with at all times was one of the most important keys to getting a job done properly. Given the way the masked and hooded individual was moving Umiko found herself easily assuming that this was either a seasoned genin with a lot of practice, or a young genin with a lot of talent. Either way they were in trouble for... what had they even done, exactly? She still didn't know, and it likely didn't matter. Whatever bad behavior the other female had been doing needed to be stopped, period.

As Umiko began to close in the distance between herself and the other female she could hear her calling out tauntingly to whom she assumed was the civilian police. The police would never be able to keep up with speeds like these, so it was definitely going to be up to Umiko to put a stop to this. Of course, Umiko could have moved faster if she wanted - even in her less than peak condition - but she was quite curious as to what the other female would do, especially as Umiko saw her glance back and catch a glimpse of her.

What had been an almost casual and fun looking run had turned into an all out pulse pounding chase - at least for the other female. For Umiko this was simply the equivalent of a comfortable jog for her; or it would have been comfortable had her body not been beginning to give off a small burning sensation in her joints. "Ugh, this is going to get annoying fast. Looks like it's time to stop playing games and just put a end to this.", Umiko muttered to herself. She wasn't supposed to be pushing herself too hard because it wasn't exactly good for her health, so the last thing she wanted to do was cause her condition to worsen over what was likely a petty crime.

"We can either do this the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is you stop right now and quit while you're ahead, while the hard way is I force you to stop in a method you more than likely will not enjoy. Your choice, make it fast.", Umiko called out in an authoritative voice the likes of which she hardly ever used: ensuring it was loud enough for the other female to hear clearly. Normally she would have just let the girl run herself tired, but today wasn't going to be that kind of day.
