Alec was standing outside of the mansion, leaning back on one of the handrails that lead up onto the porch. The sky was dark as it usually was. A slight chill hung in the air as it usually did.

Today was the first day he'd take in students; Genin Uchiha that both had potential. He'd been paying attention to everything they were doing. Both of them had been busy, doing many missions around the village. That wasn't going to go unnoticed, or unrewarded.

He already had the day planned out, as well as everything he was going to teach them, but the first thing he had to do was find out how they worked as a team. He'd heard that they did well in their first mission to escort the diplomat back home, but Alec wanted to see for himself.

So, at the steps to his mansion he would wait, expecting to see them show up any moment now...

Heiwa, like she had predicted the day before, had been unable to sleep all that much. In fact it had been well past three o'clock in the morning before she had actually passed out. Like her other predictions from the other day her parents had been excited and very pleased while her brother had been nearly green with envy and yet happy for her in his own way. Thankfully Heiwa had set a fairly loud alarm clock, so she was up and ready although tired.

She was in what was quickly becoming her usual attire: a black long sleeved net-style top with a tank top and shorts one piece outfit over this. Leggings were likewise worn as were her usual black boots. Black hair was up in a full ponytail; she assumed they would be doing some training today and didn't want to have to worry about it later. Around her right leg was a series of pouches containing both her old weapons and those she had recently purchased.

Heiwa was out the door without breakfast with a "Goodbye! See ya later!" called to her parents: even if Alec hadn't told them not to eat a big breakfast in case they threw up, Heiwa was cutting it fairly close on time and wouldn't have risked it anyway. The last thing she wanted was to be late on their first meeting and so she'd deal with a growling empty stomach.

Heiwa darted through the village, hoping that Akira would be on time too while wondering what it was that Alec would be teaching them on their first day. Would they learn something exciting? Would they get to fight some great beast out of the darkness? Or would something entirely different happen? Her excited grin was on her face as she reached the big house up in the north district and spotted Alec outside leaning on one of the handrails. She skidded to a stop and then gave a polite bow, "Good morning, sensei!"

The jealousy of his siblings made him laugh, but the brother complex of Furiku made him cringe. Several times did he have to peel himself away from the girl, look at him as if he were her biggest crush. Akuma and Hotaru both seemed to be the most envious, with Akuma complaining that Akira hadn't even awakened his Sharingan, yet was accepted by the Kuraikage to be his student?

The parents were proud of Akira, even with thinking that he wouldn't amount to much, compared to the likes of Akuma and Hotaru. He couldn't sleep at all the night before in anticipation. Akira was sure that the Kuraikage was going to teach them some cool super moves. His parents and siblings all saw Akira off the next morning, with him rushing out the door without having eaten anything.

Akira was still sort of sore from the fighting he'd done the night before, but he wasn't going to miss this for the world. Arriving at the mansion, he could see that Heiwa had already arrived. Akira was dressed just like he usually was: his dark blue Uchiha Shirt, his Black knee length shorts, his Black sandals and his black fingerless gloves. His utility belt was slung over his right shoulder with his headband tied to it.

Akira stopped running and gave a respectful bow to Alec. "Good morning, Sensei," he said, catching his breath.

Namie's life had certainly taken an interesting turn. From having a loving family to being kicked out on the streets by a father who blamed her for his wife and unborn child's death. Then to a brothal, acting as a bodyguard to the whore's until her services were no longer needed. Then, to end up meeting Kurai Yanagi, being taught what was going to become her trump card, and him pulling strings to get her an apartment in the building that he lived in. No one could say the young lady's life was boring that was for sure. Namie had been amusing herself by doing various missions around the village, and her overall bad attitude that she used to hide the hurting person she was inside was beginning to change.

But, she was still an artist, and still a bit of a trouble maker.

Which was why at this very moment she was standing on the rooftop of a nearby building with a sashel filled with a variety of different spray paint colors. On the ajoining wall in front of her was a half completed painting that was of a mostly naked woman with super long white hair. The hair was wrapped around her body in a way that kept her private areas covered while allowing small hints and glimpses of what lay beneath the hair. The woman was life-like, or at least as much as a painting could get, but it was hardly finished. Namie wasn't exactly trying to cause trouble by painting the walls, but she figured the dark village could certainly use the color - though, perhaps this was the wrong way to about that?

Still, she continued to work on her painting, complete oblivious for the moment to the fact that two fellow genin were nearby with the Kuraikage of all people. She could have looked over and seen them from her high position, but she didn't, and they could certainly see her if they looked...

Heiwa arrived first, soon followed by Akira. "Good mor---" he started to say, turning his head to the left, his eyes of chakra suddenly noticing something. "...ning."

There was a girl nearby, on a rooftop. She was painting a picture with spray paint cans. Alec noticed several pictures like these around the village, and was wondering who was behind them. It wasn't that he was mad, no, actually he didn't mind. In terms of strength, she was right around the same level as the two Uchiha here.

This had to be the girl that Kurai left him a note about. He said he'd taught a girl wearing a mask who liked to draw an advanced move. He expected her to fail, but she aced it, in a fashion that looked rather easy. This team was needing a third member anyway, and while Alec didn't mind her drawing pictures, there were those who would mind.

"One second..." Alec said, forming handsigns. A clone of Alec appeared next to him, grinned and moved quickly from the scene, so swiftly that he seemed to vanish from sight.

Shadow Clone Jutsu:

"Alright... before we get started, I think we should all properly get to know each other. Tell me something about yourselves. Like, the usual... Your favorite thing, what you hate the most... Dreams, ambitions, hobbies, things like that... For Example, I'll start... I'm Alec Kane, the Kuraikage. My favorite thing would probably be my sword." Alec tapped the glowing katana scabbard at his side. "What I hate is people who talk big but don't back up their words. I don't really have any dreams or ambitions, but my hobbies are making weapons, like my sword here... Now, let's hear from you, Heiwa, then Akira, and once your 3rd member arrives we'll hear from her last."

The clone of Alec quickly made it's way up onto the roof with Namie. "A nice picture," said the clone. "If i'm not mistaken, you must be Namie Kurayami. Kurai told me about you, he said you're very talented. Rasengan usually takes the average ninja years to learn, but you learned it in one day. I'm impressed!" Alec's clone opened his left hand, showing Namie the diamond shapes permanently situated on his palm, siganling that the both of them were the same. "So listen, Namie... I don't normally make this offer to anyone anymore, but I just took in 2 students, Uchihas. Their team needs a third, and as a way of keeping you out of trouble, why don't you join? Are you interested in training with us?"

Akira arrived right after her, offering his own greeting to their new sensei. Alec responded back with a good morning, though it was quite clear that something had caught his attention and held it. Heiwa looked around for a moment until she spotted what it was: there was a girl with pink and black hair and wearing a strange mask over her face who was spray painting on a wall. Heiwa would have been impressed by how good the painting was, and the amount of detail in it, had it not been for the subject matter: a mostly naked woman.

However, she didn't have long to think about that as Alec made a clone to likely go deal with the other individual before turning his attention back onto them which caused her to refocus herself. He properly introduced himself and then went on to tell them a bit about himself. The Kuraikage said that his favorite thing would probably be his sword, that he hated people who talked big but didn't back it up. He went on to say that he didn't have any hopes and dreams, but that his hobby was making weapons like the sword he had. He then said that Heiwa could go next, followed by Akira, and then by the third squad mate once she arrived.

"Well, my name is Uchiha Heiwa. My favorite thing is my new friend whose an albino monkey named Fa Mulan: she should be showing up as soon as she's done getting her shots at the hospital with my dad. What I dislike the most would be bullies, and people who use the fact that they're stronger than other people to pick on them. My dream is to one day become strong enough to see the world. My hobbies are reading mostly and learning; I have a whole library in my bedroom at home. I also, I like to meditate. I suppose that's it.", she went silent then, simply smiling.

Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a white and blue furred monkey coming running from around the corner and straight to her. Her father peaked around the corner for a second and offered a wave: he had been ensuring that Fa Mulan made it back okay. When the monkey reached Heiwa she climbed up on Heiwa's back and hung there while making a soft chirping noise.

Alec must have seen something. Akira was still drawing blanks on how. This had to be something new, something he or any of his people had never heard of before. Maybe Alec would tell them about it one day. When Akira himself looked, he could see a girl painting a picture of what looked to be a naked woman. Eyebrows raised some.

Alec made a clone, and it ran in her direction. "Cool..." he said with wide eyes. Shadow Clones were something Akira wanted to learn himself. While the clone went to deal with the girl presumably, Alec said that they should get to know each other properly, and introduced himself. He asked about their favorite thing, the thing they hated the most, their dreams, ambitions and hobbies. he went first, and said that his favorite thing was the glowing sword at his side. he said he hated when people talked big and didn't back their words. he didn't have any dreams or ambitions, and his hobbies were weapon smithing.

Heiwa went next, to say her favorite thing was her pet monkey that would be arriving soon. She didn't like bullies and people who used their strength to look down on others. She dreamed of one day seeing the world, and her hobbies were reading and learning new things. It was about what he expect her to say, besides the monkey business.

As Heiwa's pet monkey arrived, white in color, Akira's turn came next. "I'm Uchiha Akira... I don't really have any favorite things, and what I hate is how i'm expected to live up to someone's expectations; mostly my parents and brothers and sisters... My dream was always to live in a hidden ninja village and be on a squad, like now, so I guess that much is coming true. My hobbies are perfecting my skills so I can use them the best way... and, yeah... I guess that's it."

Akira hoped his answers were satisfactory enough for the Kuraikage. Was the person up on the roof going to be the 3rd member of their squad? If so it would be cool, because then they'd have a real squad. He could hardly believe this was really happening, still. A real squad, with a real sensei; the Kage of all people.

"....." It was beginning to seem like each and every time she ventured out to spread around a bit of artwork someone showed up. At least they didn't act like the Headband gang; they had tried to kill her ass on more than one occasion - then again, that could have very well been because of the fact that her paintings back then had depicted them dying in gruesome and horrorfying ways. Now her paintings were more peaceful the majority of the time, but tended to be not safe for work: she drew what she was used to seeing.

The individual who arrived was one she recognized: he had helped to defeat the Headband gang and had even become the official Kuraikage of the village. He commented that her pictuer was nice, and knew who she was. Kurai had apparently told him about her, and said that she was talented: the compliment made her pause, a bit confused. He also knew what Kurai had taught her, which wasn't all that surprising given he was the leader of the village. Alec then went to show her the same diamond pattern she had on her own hand: a sign of the Kurayami clan. Then he was offering her a chance to join the squad he had and it was then that she looked over to the two Uchiha, and... him. Right, clones. Had to be a clone, unless of course he had a twin.

"I... wow. Really?" She would pause, waiting to see if he said he was joking, and if not she would add "Alright, sure." Having a squad, and people to hang out with, would surely keep her out of trouble. Plus, it would give her something to use her talents towards. She would slide her can of spray paint into her sashel bag and then jump off of the roof, bouncing from one thing to another, until she safely landed on the ground. The distance between herself and her new squad and sensei would be crossed before she would come to a stop and fold her arms across her chest. Absently she would reach up and pull her gas mask up so that it rested around her neck. She was listening to people introduce themselves, and figured she was likely next.

"Uh, names Kurayami, Namie. Suppose I'm supposed to tell a bit about myself? I like painting; spray painting to be more accurate. You've probably seen some of my pictures around. Anyway, I suppose I dislike my family out of everything. I hope to one day be able to find the people respondible for my mom's death and kill them. Annnd I don't really have hobbies outside of spray painting any surface I can find."

It was likely an uneasy start: admitting to her plan for murder off rip. But, that was just how Namie was: she didn't like to sugar coat, and there really was no point in beating around the bush since they were likely to find out about her family sooner or later.

When Namie agreed, Alec's clone turned into smoke and vanished, meaning the information would be passed to the actual Alec. All 3 of the kids had a chance to introduce themselves and give a little background. Heiwa's and Akira's answers were about what he expected them to be, but Namie... she seemed a little on the dark side. there was someone she wanted to kill. Alec hoped that he wasn't creating a monster.

"Alright... so it's time for a training exercise," he said, motioning for them to follow him. Alec gave a wave back to Heiwa's father when he brought Heiwa's monkey friend, then began to head around the house on the cement path through the grass. The backyard of the mansion was vast, with trees and rocks situated throughout the large field. The backyard was surrounded by a wall so that none of the shadow creatures from outside could get in. near the back porch were 3 tree stumps about 2 feet tall.

Alec grabbed a timer from the back porch, place there at his request earlier by the maids, and began to wind it up. Setting it, he put it down on the back porch steps. "This is set to go off at about 11," he said, pulling from his pocket 2 small bells tied to string. "I have here 2 small bells. Your challenge is to steal these from me before the timer goes off. Whoever fails doesn't get lunch, and you will instead be tied to one of those tree stumps to watch me eat your food in front of you. Realizing why I said not to eat anything, huh?..."

Alec chuckled some. "As you can see, there's only 2 bells, so one of you is definitely headed for the stump. And whoever that is, will be the first to fail. Somebody's going home today with a big fat F on their forehead." Alec began to walk further into the vast backyard. "Time to see what your really made of, kids. Attack me as if you mean to kill, or you won't stand a chance."

Akira introduced himself after Heiwa finished and said that he didn't really have any favorite things, but that what he disliked was being expected to live up to the expectations of others; mostly his parents and brothers and sisters. His dream was pretty much what was coming true now; to live in a ninja village and be on a proper squad. He then went on to say that his hobbies were perfecting his skills in order to use them the best way possible. Akira sounded a lot like her and she figured they would likely get along pretty well.

The new girl who had been spray painting the naked woman on the wall turned out to be their third teammate and she too made it a point to introduce herself. She said her name was Kurayami Namie. Her favorite thing to do seemed to be spray painting pictures on walls. Out of everything that she could have disliked it turned out that she disliked her family most of all though she didn't bother to go into detail as to why. She went on to say that her dream was to find the people responsible for her mother's death and then kill them. She then concluded by saying she didn't have any other hobbies really outside of spray painting any surface she could find. Heiwa found herself feeling a bit weary about Namie: the girl seemed to have some sort of darkness in her, and Heiwa could guess that something bad had likely happened to her. Still, she didn't feel like it was her place to ask so she kept the question from crossing her lips.

When their introductions were completed Alec said it was time for a training exercise and motioned for them to follow him. With Fa Mulan on her back still Heiwa followed after Alec and into the backyard. It was large, larger than any she had seen before. She watched as Alec grabbed what looked to be a timer off of the porch before going on to explain to them what their training exercise was. He said that the timer was set to go off at 11, and then went on to explain that he had two small bells on him and that their task was to get them before the timer went off. Whoever failed wouldn't get lunch and would instead be tied to one of the tree stumps where they would get to watch Alec eat it in front of them. Heiwa was beginning to understand why it was Alec told them not to eat, and her already growling stomach was definitely leading her to feel motivated. Given that there were three of them and only two bells one of them would end up tied to the stump regardless: whoever failed was going home with a big fat F on their forehead. He concluded his instructions by telling them to come at him like they intended to kill him or otherwise they wouldn't stand a chance. Out of all of the training exercises she had imagined them doing this certainly hadn't been one of them: at the moment she was feeling a bit puzzled as to the point behind all of this. Was he trying to turn them all against each other? No matter what they did there would be a loser: someone wasn't getting lunch.

It was safe to assume that this was going to end up being an every man for himself type deal unless someone said otherwise. So, with that thought flowing through Heiwa's mind she began to plot out a plan. It seemed like Alec could see by some means even though he was blindfolded, but how well? Could something like a smoke bomb distort whatever view he had? It sounded plausable in her mind, and worth a shot: either way it would help her to gain information on just how good this method of seeing of his was. Still, even if this was her plan she felt like it needed more; a smoke bomb likely wouldn't be enough of a distraction for a seasoned shinobi such as himself, but perhaps some weapons thrown into the mix would help her odds? It was worth a shot. The plan took only a second or two to come up with; her own perception and quick thinking an advantage for the young Uchiha.

Heiwa reached into her weapons pouch as she began to move, making a wide running circle off to the left of Alec. As her circle began to grow nearer to Alec would be when she would throw and activate the smoke bomb which upon hitting the ground would coat the area in a thick dense smoke. Following this she would fling three kunai at him; one after the other as she continued to move so that they would come flying at him from slightly different directions. Following the third kunai she would attempt to circle behind him, darting in close in an attempt to snatch at one of the bells. Would she make it? Would her hand actually close in around the bell? Could Alec dodge all of that and stop her from getting one of the bells too? Or was this going to be a lot harder than she originally thought?

The person on the roof, a girl, came down and took off the mask device on her face. She said her name was Namie Kurayami, and that she liked to spray paint. She must have been the one behind the various pictures around the village on the sides of buildings, namely the ones of the headbands being made fun of. She said she didn't like her family, and that she would find the person who killed her father and kill them.

Akira had her pegged for the dark, problem child of the group. But Akira gave her points for being upfront and honest instead of them having to find out another way. Alec didn't really show a reaction that Akira could see, and said that it was time for a training exercise while leading them around behind his mansion. The back was a big area. it made perfect for training, or fighting, or whatever he wanted to do; there was more than enough room.

Alec set a timer and said it would go off at 11. He said he had 2 small bells. The challenge was to steal the bells before the timer went off, and whoever didn't get a bell would fail, get tied to one of the tree stumps, and have to watch Alec eat their lunch in front of them. He began to regret not eating, feeling his stomach let off a howl.

Someone was going to fail. Was this meant to pit them against each other? Alec started walking further into the big backyard, telling them to attack as if they meant to kill him. Heiwa was the first to go into action, with a combination of Kunai and a smoke bomb. Akira didn't know how that was going to play out with him being blind folded and all; maybe it was to test just how good whatever method he was using to see was.

Akira began to think that this wasn't going to work if they didn't work together. Alec had to be a master; an S-Ranked Shinobi. Nevertheless, he wasn't just going to stand there. With his heart began to thump harder in his chest, Akira ducked and jumped high into the air while taking a deep breath.

KATON: GOKAKYU NO JUTSU!

Great Fireball Technique:

Chakra: 500/515

He exhaled a tremendous fireball downward towards the Kage while Heiwa put her attack into play. Akira figured he would be too busy dodging or deflecting the kunai thrown at him to avoid the great fireball speeding toward him from above. He just hoped that Namie didn't charge him head on, or get in the way of his attack...

No reaction? She was quite surprised. She had just admitted, out loud, that she intended on murdering someone when she was strong enough. Yet, their sensei hadn't even looked phased. Strange, yet not the least of her worries as she followed Alec Kane, Akira, and Heiwa behind the big house and into what was a very spacious backyard surrounded by a high wall clearly meant for protection against the beasts and other foul creature that lurked in the darkness on the outer edges of the village. It would be a safe place to train without having to constantly look over their shoulders and worry that something was going to snatch them up from the darkness.

Alec laid down what was to be their task; they had to get a bell, of which he only had two, by eleven o'clock to be able to eat lunch. Since there were two bells and three of them it meant someone was going to lose and go hungry while Alec ate their lunch in front of them - something that made Namie frown quite a bit. He told them to come at him like they intended on killing him if they wished to stand any chance at completing their task.

At first it sounded like Alec was attempting to cause them to all be against each other, and yet she hoped he wouldn't have taken a squad just to cause a bunch of infighting and problems. While Heiwa went on and rushed in with a smoke bomb and kunai and Akira jumped upward and launched his own firey attack Namie simply knelt down on one knee and put her fingers together intertwined in front of her. It was a pose she liked to use for thinking, and that's precisely what she planned on doing right now. She highly doubted that Heiwa or Akira were going to manage to snag a bell that easily, but she wanted to use the chance while they were attacking to see how Alec handled them, how he moved. It would be information she hoped to use later. Plus, she highly doubted that any single one of them were going to pull this off; no they would likely end up having to work together to even get one bell off of him let alone two, so it was also a chance to think of how she was going to go about convincing them to work with her. If everyone was in a every man for themself mentality than surely this wasn't going to work: no this was going to have to be played like an expert game of chess - something her father used to tell her and her siblings when they used to train together. They were going to have to figure out how to work together, and how to compliment each other, if this was likely going to end well.. Though, she could be surprised and proven wrong, too.

"Hmm..." Namie might have been hardheaded and a brat at times, but that didn't mean she wasn't a thinker.

So, to begin... Heiwa threw a smoke bomb. She was likely doing it to test his vision, to see just how good he could see. It was smart... but pointless. Alec didn't move, he just stood where he was, sarcastically grinning. Heiwa went off to the left, throwing 3 kunai into the smoke, where within could be heard 3 distinct sounds of metal clashing against metal. With quick swipes of the Blind Fury Sword, the 3 projectiles were deflected, though none of them would see this through the smoke. Heiwa would then run in towards his back in an attempt to grab the bells hanging at the belt on his waist.

At the same time, Akira jumped and took a deep breath. Alec looked surprised. How was this kid able to mold so much chakra as a genin? This was no ordinary fireball that he executed, this one was hotter, more destructive. This was the power of a pure blood Uchiha. It wasn't like Alec hadn't faced one before, but he never gave the person in question the time to exploit his true skills.

Namie took no action. From the looks of things, she was trying to figure out a strategy. Alec stabbed the end of the Blind Fury stick into the soft ground in front of him, then moved both of his arms. The left moves upwards, the palm of his hand open, to absorb the fireball into the diamond shapes located there. The right moves backwards, at the exact moment that Heiwa would have grabbed a bell, to grasp her wrist. Should this grab be successful, Alec would yank her around and sling her directly towards the airborne Akira, where he would be unable to dodge.

Inhailing Maw:

All of this would take place without Alec moving an inch. He pulled his Blind Fury stick from the ground and grinned again as the smoke cleared. "I said to come at me with the intent to kill," he said, propping his hands atop his stick. "You do realize that one of you is going to fail, right? I wasn't joking about that F on your forehead, you'll have to go around the village like that. You'll become a laughing stock for life. You guys ready for that?"

The smoke was useless, the kunai deflected from the three clings that could be heard from within the smoke. Apparently trying to blind their sensei with such tricks wasn't going to work: whatever method he had to see by wasn't fooled by such tricks. It also would seem like the jutsu, a powerful one for a genin, that Akira was attempting likewise wasn't going to work. Whatever happened within the smoke, whatever Alec did, the fire just disappeared.

Alec would have grabbed her wrist only for her entire body to puff to smoke and in the midst of it a log to appear as she would have been flung towards Akira: Substitution Jutsu in the workings. The real Heiwa was standing roughly fifteen feet to the right of the kneeling Namie who looked like she was attempting to plan and figure things out instead of rushing in head first, with Fa Mulan standing on the ground next to her: Heiwa wasn't going to involve her if she didn't have to given how new their bond was. "What in the world happened to the fire jutsu?", Heiwa asked, though she truly wasn't expecting an answer, she simply had been unable to help herself from asking.

Substitution Jutsu:

The smoke cleared and she could see Alec once more: he was grinning and looked like he hadn't moved at all since their attacks on him began. He said that he hadn't been joking about the failure getting the F put on their forehead, and having to go around the village like that. He said that they'd become a laughing stock, and asked them if they were prepared for that. Heiwa had no intentions of allowing that to happen to her: it would not only embarass her but also her family and that was the last thing that she wanted. It egged her on, and made her want to complete her task all that much harder: she couldn't let her family down no matter what it took.

Heiwa didn't know what happened to the fire jutsu that Akira had tried, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. Breathing in deep as she made a series of hand seals she would then blow out a fine flammable mist in Alec's direction, hoping to surround him with it if he didn't happen to move or somehow deflect it. On its own it wasn't dangerous, but once it was met with an ignition source it would explode into a giant fireball with the force of an explosive tag. Her plan wasn't to ignite it now; she wanted to ensure that Akira and Namie were out of the way and at enough of a distance not to be harmed: they weren't supposed to be trying to kill each other after all.

"What the hell??"

Akira was expecting the usual explosion, the smoke, the hole in the ground. But this time, the fireball just... disappeared. How had the Kuraikage done that? First he deflected the kunai thrown at him by Heiwa, then just cause his fireball to vanish into thin air by some means? Alec was truly something else.

It looked like he grabbed and threw Heiwa as the smoke cleared and Akira drifted down towards the ground, but upon closer inspection Akira could see that she'd performed the substitution jutsu, and instead of her being thrown towards Akira, it was a log. Akira went into a backflip as he fell, allowing the log to pass inches above him, effectively avoiding it.

When the backflip was completed, Akira fling two Kunai of his own down towards the Kuraikage, then landed on his hands and feet on the ground. Hopefully he would have to raise his arms to block, leaving his mid-section open. Immediately after landing, Akira would scramble toward Alec, going for the bells at his waist.

He was hoping to grab at least one and then get out of the way of the jutsu that Heiwa was currently preparing. At the same time he was wondering what Namie was doing; was she praying? Was she trying to figure out a strategy? Akira began to think that the 3 of them would probably have to come together and form a plan... Alec seemed too strong to try taking one on one.

Heiwa's attacks seemed useless: the smoke bomb did nothing to stop what sounded like a quick deflection of all three of the kunai she threw. At the same time Akira ended up wasting chakra as Alec simply absorbed the powerful fire jutsu he used through the Inhaling Maw technique. Another puff of smoke and a log was being hurled at Akira: Heiwa had to have used the Substitution Jutsu technique to avoid being grabbed by their sensei. Akira then went into a backflip as he fell, causing the log to just barely miss him. Both seemed completely stumped as to what exactly had happened to the fire release technique. Meanwhile, Heiwa seemed to be preparing for another attack as she blew out what looked like a mist from her mouth that covered a decent sized area: it was clear she was attempting to surround Alec in it.

It was at that moment that Namie realized she held valuable information. Information that could be given out to help the other two, or kept to herself to further help her own goals. She could keep her mouth shut and continue to allow her teammates to struggle, or she could give forth what she knew and keep them all on equal footing. It wasn't a hard decision to make...

"He absorbed it using the Inhaling Maw technique. it's a Kurayami clan technique that allows you to absorb a jutsu, store it, and release it later on. From what I watched there's no way we're going to get those bells all acting on our own; not before that timer goes off. We're going to have to work together if we want to stand a chance; even if it means that one of us ends up with an F on their forehead." Namie wasn't exactly bothered by beind embarassed: she had been thrown out from her family and then spent a good few years protecting whores for a place to sleep, there really wasn't anything more degrading and embarassing than that. "Even if one of us is technically going to fail we all have to work together to be able to do this. I don't care about getting a bell; I had a chance to eat breakfast this morning where as it seems the two of you didn't. But, I do care about getting this task done." She didn't mention she didn't care about being embarassed, she felt it was pointless. She knew the risks of not taking a bell and she hardly cared: her teammates were hungry, and that was essentially what mattered to her. Her father had always drilled into her before things went to shit that you take care of your commrades, even if that sometimes meant you forfeited your own life; or in this case food.

The exercise today was great. A chance to shake off the rust of sitting on his ass all the time. Both of the Uchihas were confused as to how Alec dealt with Akira's fireball, but Namie informed them of what he'd done.

Heiwa seemed to be setting up another technique, after cleverly avoiding being thrown at Akira. Alec would instead throw a log towards the airborne Uchiha, that he avoided. Heiwa exhaled a mist, flammable if Alec knew better, while Akira threw two Kunai. In an amost blinding fashion, Alec spun in a circle while making one swing of the Blind Fury stick, leaving the sword sheathed. Alec chose to deflect the kunai with the scabbard instead of the blade so that the sparks from the metal clashing didn't ignite the mist that Heiwa exhaled.

Deflecting both Kunai, Alec went low, as Akira landed and darted in towards him. He would execute a low sweeping kick with the intention of knocking Akira off of his feet. Alec completed one more revolution while standing up straight again, forming hand signs. At this point, if Akira could not avoid the sweeping kick, he would likely be upside down. Alec would point both of his palms towards Akira, Namie, Heiwa and the mist that was currently moving towards him.

A wind technique would be executed from Alec's palms, enough to blow away the mist, as well as send each of the kids flying backwards a distance. The wind itself would do no damage to them whatsoever, but if unable to right themselves within the gale, the environment would do the damage for them. This variant was lesser than a more destructive variant that Alec knew, but he wouldn't dare use it on Genin.

Devastation:

Nami began to display what he was hoping for. With a grin, Alec waited to see if Akira and Heiwa would wise up, and begin to realize the meaning of this exercise.

Akira seemed just as stumped as she did as to what happened to the fire jutsu he had tried to use. He was able to land without being injured due to a backflip that got him out of the way of the wood block which had been the result of her Substitution Jutsu. While Akira backflipped he sent two more kunai toward the Kuraikage, only to land on all fours and then scramble towards Alec, in what was clearly another attempt to get to the bells at his waist.

Meanwhile, the answer to their confusion came: Namie explained quickly enough that Alec had absorbed the attack through an ability that came with the Kurayami clan. Not only that but he was able to store it and use it at a later time if he saw fit. Namie then went on to say that even if one of them was going to fail they were all going to have to work together to be able to get one if not both of the bells before the timer went off. She said that she didn't care about getting a bell because she had had a chance to eat breakfast unlike the two of them, but that she did care about getting the task done. While Heiwa didn't know the girl, nor did she know she could trust her, she figured they were going to have to if this exercise was going to get finished in a timely manner.

Before she could respond, however, it seemed like Alec had an attack of his own. It was a wind jutsu, one that would be powerful enough to knock them all over and send them flying. While the jutsu itself wouldn't hurt, if they happened to hit anything it definitely would. As Heiwa began to move backwards, pushed that way from the force of the jutsu, she would reach into her pouch and pull out a kunai which she would then dig into the nearest surface - the ground - and hold on.

"You're right.", Heiwa would manage to say after ensuring she wasn't knocked backward too much. "We're going to have to work together.. even if one of us fails. We're going to need a plan...."

The kunai were blocked by that stick Alec was holding. Namie began to speak, and revealed why his fireball simply disappeared: it was a technique of her's and Alec's clan, the Kurayami. They could absorb jutsu cast at them and store it to be later used themselves. It sounded like an awesome ability. She then went on to say just what he was thinking: that none of them would get those bells alone. This was going to call for some teamwork.

Around this time is when Akira was swept quickly off of his feet and then blown backwards by a hard gust of wind; a jutsu cast by Alec. Akira bounced along the ground twice before following Heiwa's example and stabbing a kunai into the ground.

"...It's what I was thinking too," Akira said once the wind stopped blowing. He was now a good distance away from Alec, and motioned for Heiwa and Namie to come over to him. "Ok... so what do we know..." Akira said in a hushed tone, hoping that Alec wouldn't be able to hear them planning. "Even though he's blindfolded he's got some weird way of seeing... He can see everything. Above him, behind him, everywhere. He's got all of his spots covered, there's no way to surprise him. He's super fast, he can absorb jutsu, and there's no telling what else he can do. One on one is a suicide mission..."

Akira rubbed the top of his head and dusted the dirt and grass off of his head and shoulders. "We're gonna have to go at him, all of us, together, from all angles... This exercise is set up for one of us to take one for the team... so it might as well be me. I can't let a girl go down because of me, so i'll be the sacrifice. If I have to walk around with an F on my forehead then whatever, i've suffered worse... so look, i'll distract him, and you two go for the bells, ok? Don't worry, I have a plan..."

"....", before Namie had a chance to say anymore their sensei let off a powerful wind jutsu. While the jutsu didn't cause any actual damage itself it did send all three of them flying. Heiwa stopped herself from going too far with a kunai imbedded into the ground and Akira followed the same example. With no better plan in mind to stop herself from becoming injured as she was forced backwards, hitting the ground several times, she too pulled out a kunai in the midst of rolling and imbedded it into the ground, stopping herself from recieving any further damage from tumbling around as she had been. As it was she would likely have a few bruises in the morning, but it was nothing she wasn't used to from past trainings, so she wasn't going to complain.

Both of her teammates seemed willing to work together, and in agreement that that was the only way they were going to pass this test, even if it meant that one of them was going to lose in the end. Namie was on her feet as soon as the wind jutsu was over, and moved over to Akira and Heiwa, listening intently as Akira began to speak of a plan in hushed tones. As she listened she kept her gaze on Alec, wondering if he could hear them, and wondering if he would attack them while they were planning things out: she was ready to push her teammates out of the way if that happened.

Akira said that they would all have to go at him at once, from all different angles due to Alec being able to see everywhere and all at once. He said that he would be the one to take the sacrifice for the team, that he couldn't let a girl go down because of him. Akira would distract him while she and Heiwa went after the bells. "Alright. I think if we add a bit of confusion to the mix that will help increase our odds of sucess as well. I'll come in from the left and suddenly switch in passing to the right in my attempt to grab 'em. Heiwa, if you do the opposite and come in from the right and head to the left and you have Fa Mulan with you.... You'll have twice the chance to grab them then I will."

If there was no issues with this plan Namie would move off to the left of Alec. She would wait, anticipating whatever it was Akira was about to use as a distraction so that her and Heiwa would attempt to move in and swipe the bells...

Alec could have kept the jutsu going for longer, but after they'd been blown a distance backwards he canceled the fuuton technique. All 3 used kunai to halt their movement. None of them looked too hurt, and that was good, because it wasn't his intention.

So it finally looked as if they were willing to work together. Akira called the girls over to him, and they began to speak in hushed tones. It would have been easy for Alec to listen in, but he wanted to be surprised. Alec didn't act while they were distracted; he stood still and propped his hands atop his blind fury stick.

"Making plans, little ones? Here's hoping they work out," said Alec with his sarcastic grin, loud enough to where they could hear it, waiting to see what they would try next.

When Namie moved off to the left, it looked like they were putting their plan in motion. Alec stood where he was and continued looking forward.

They all managed to stop themselves from being thrown around too badly due to the wind jutsu of Alec's by using kunai in the earth to anchor themselves until the wind disipated. Namie and Akira were in agreement that they were going to have to work together if they wanted to complete their task, and Heiwa didn't disagree. Once to her feet she made her way over to Akira upon seeing him motion for them to join him. She listened to the hushed conversation as him and Namie came up with a plan. Akira was going to act as a distraction, willing to take one for the team by doing so. While he did that her and Namie were supposed to swoop in and grab up the bells if they could manage to get close enough. Namie suggested that Heiwa take Fa Mulan with her in order to increase her changes at scoring a bell, or both bells if Namie happened to miss. Namie was going to come in from the left and go to the right, and said that Heiwa should do the opposite. Heiwa nodded to all of this in agreement while secretly hoping that Alec hadn't overheard their plan before they had a chance to try it. "Alright, let's do it.", Heiwa would comment.

Seeing that Namie was taking up her position Heiwa did the same; her arm extended to Fa Mulan who climbed up on her back from her positon next to her, quite happy that she was going to get to 'play' too. "Yay! Fa gets to help!", the monkey chimed out in perfect english.

Once in position, with a plan of action in mind, she too waited for Akira to start up whatever distraction that he had in mind. Would this work? Would they finally be able to pull this off and succed in getting the bells? Or was this plan doomed to fail, too? She hadn't wanted to get Fa Mulan involved in this training exercise until their bond had a chance to grow a bit more, but if worked then she figured it would be worth it in the end.

With Hewia and Namie in agreement, it was time to put this plan in motion. Akira hoped it all went like it should. His heart pounding away in his chest, he watched Namie and Hewia take positions, then breathed deeply.

Akira ran straight for Alec head-on. It was a suicide note were this a real fight, Akira knew this. But he was determined to finish this exercise with flying colors. While running, Akira formed handsigns. He waited until he was within close proximity of Alec, depending on if he moved or not, to finish, surrounding the Kuraikage with clones of himself composed of flame. There were a total of 5 clones, each of them highly resembling Akira.

Katon Bushin no Jutsu:

Chakra: 485/500

All 5 Clones jumped and attempted to attack Alec from all angles with punches and kicks, while Akira himself jumped and attempted his Acrobatic drop kick. Akira knew Alec was going to dodge or block this some sort of way, but he hoped that it would at least be enough of a distraction for Namie and Heiwa to grab a bell.

Alec asked them if they were making plans, and then said that he hoped they worked: which she did too. She had no idea what they'd have to try next if this happened to fail. With Namie to the left, and Heiwa taking up position to the right with Fa Mulan on her back and seeming happy to be able to help, that left Akira in the center. Namie had no idea what Akira had planned as a means of a distraction, but she hoped that it worked. As curious as Namie was as to what Akira's plan might be it seemed like they wouldn't have to wait long to find out.

Akira ran straight towards Alec and formed hand seals while doing so. Namie leaned forward, waiting for whatever he was about to do to start up so that she could dart in and attempt to make her chance at a grab. As the clones appaered Namie made her move, rushing in and crossing the distance as fast as she could move. Just like the plan had been agreed upon Namie ducked in from the left going to the right, dodging and moving around the clones and Akira as they attempted to attack Alec.

At the last possible second Namie would reach out, attempting to close her hand around one or both of the bells with the plan to pass one off to Heiwa were she to get both of them. Whether she could suceed or not once the attempt at a grab would be made she would attempt to dart off behind Alec and out of the way of Heiwa and Akira and his clones... Had she managed to grab one or both?

"Hmm..."

...And the young ones put their plan in motion. Alec almost couldn't wait to see what they were going to try. The girls spread out to either side, while Akira charged forward by himself. Alec's grin grew even wider; he had to know that a frontal assault was useless. He had to have something else in mind. He began to form hand signs, but stopped for some reason, possibly waiting until he was closer, or to see if he would move or take action. Alec decided to indulge Akira, just to see their plan, so he remained standing where he was.

Akira made clones of fire, surrounding him. It was impressive, and he laughed some as they all jumped at him. Still, Alec didn't move. Before the clones would hit them with their punching and kicking attacks, the Symbiote covered Alec's skin and formed it's armor to protect him. Akira himself performed some kind of flipping kick, making Alec raise his arms to block all 3 of the blows.

Symbiote:

It was around this time, with his attention on Akira and his clones, that he could feel the bells being snatched off of his waist. Alec could have easily dodged, blocked, or gotten out of the way, but this wasn't a serious fight. It was only to teach them a lesson, one that it seemed they'd learned. As the Symbiote moved back to shed the armor again, Alec nodded his head.

"Hunh... not bad, Kids... Not bad at all."
