A Mission Streak [Various D-Ranks]

Mission:

Punching the man in the face AGAIN, Okami was pissed off. The mission was simple and elegant. Find the cheater, and rough him up. It was a D-Rank mission, but he had taken it because A) he didn't like cheaters and B) he had gone to the Academy with the particular woman this man was cheating on. She had never made it past Genin, having too little chakra, but it was a blessing in disguise. She didn't have to deal with death everywhere. The bimbo that he had been hooking up with was screaming, trying to pull Okami off, but he gave her a death glare and she ran. The man slumped forward, begging for forgiveness. Telling him to "ask his wife", Okami gave him one last punch and spat on him as he collapsed to the ground.

Mission:

Okami groaned as the store manager grabbed his ass for the third time that day. No wonder the employees kept quitting. He was dressed in plain clothes instead of his typical Uchiha getup, which made it a hell of a lot easier to infiltrate the shop, but the store owner had no idea what Okami was being tortured with. Sighing, he decided he had all the evidence he needed to get this guy his employees back working. Loosening his collar, revealing the red silk and metal headband tied loosely around his neck, he spun and punched the manager in the face. Hard. Dragging him to the owner's office, he dropped the perv in front of him unceremoniously, explaining what had happened. As he walked out, he jokingly added two words. "I quit!"

Mission:

Watching the kids swim in the pool, Okami sighed. He was on a streak of D-Rank missions for the extra cash and experience, not to mention the fact that he wished to prove himself to be good enough for a Genin or two to mentor. Yelling at a couple of kids who decided it was a good idea to try to drown a girl, he regretted his decision to take this job wholeheartedly. He remembered his days at the pool, where he would get thrown in by a bunch of Sixth-Years then be forced to swim by Old Jinto, the Academy's former kenjutsu instructor. Shaking his head, he dismissed the memories and blew on his whistle, startling the gaggle of teenage girls that were staring at him in his bathing suit. "Come on, get back in the water. Nothing to see here."

Mission:

Lee held the bokken too tight, as if he thought his life depended on it. Okami told him to relax, a smile on his face. The Academy student wanted to learn Kenjutsu, and the Jounin was all too happy to help. Once Lee had relaxed, Okami walked him through how to swing. You start as the balls of your feet, letting the potential energy and chakra build up through your leg, rotating at the waist, and pushing the tip of the sword forward. It was a lot like throwing a punch, and it was an easy technique to start with. All other forms flowed out from this one simple swing. You let your hand relax until just before you hit, then you snap it. Once Lee had worked through that, Okami showed him how to position his feet the best. Shoulder width, with your dominant-side foot slightly back. This would give the best power on the blow. It was all about mass times velocity, and Okami told him that too. He was definitely getting the hang of it now, when before he was thrashing like a wounded animal. Flow like the water surrounding the island, Okami said, and Lee would remember that for the rest of his life.

Mission:

Lee wanted some more help, this time learning how to use his base element. After asking Lee what it was, Okami learned that Lee used Katon, just like he did. So, fast forward around fifteen minutes. Okami had Lee attempting to keep a sustained fire under the water in the pool. He had taught Lee the proper hand seals for the Great Fireball Jutsu, and had told him that as an Uchiha, he had had to learn it when he was extremely young. It was a right of passage, after all. The young Academy student was struggling a bit at first, which was understandable. However, practice makes perfect, and soon he could sustain a fireball about the size of a fist while underwater. That was a good sign, and it was jsut in time, too. He had to get back to class, so Okami bid him adieu and went on his way to report to Lee's parents.
