The Summit (Open) - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Summit (Open)   The Summit (Open) - Page 2 EmptyFri Feb 12, 2016 1:18 am

"Hope this isn't written on my tombstone... but uh. What kind of ice doesn't melt? I mean.. I've been watching y'all since you arrived. Your ice isn't even showing signs of condensation despite how humid the village is...."

Umiko cracked a very wicked looking grin. Of all of the people to notice such a thing and comment on it she hadn't expected it to be the apparent smoker of the group. The girl was of course spot on with her observation: Umiko's ice was indeed not showing any signs at all of melting, and it wasn't showing any signs of condensation despite the heat. "You'd be correct. The heat isn't affecting my ice and it won't. Heat and flame do nothing at all to my... brand... of ice." Oh, she knew secrets needed to be kept, mystery too, but there was no point in keeping completing silent with the cat out of the proverbial bag.

It seemed like everyone else was on the same page with going to Kurayami now, even the Harukage who reappeared and motioned for Jayr and Okami to follow him as he too seemed to head to Alec Kane's ship. Shrugging to herself she likewise followed while wondering if they would run into any pirates like Emiko had mentioned - she too wouldn't have minded going a few rounds with some blood thirsty sea bandits.

Umiko boarded the ship and chose a place that seemed unoccupied and out of the way. She was sure there would likely be more questions about her ice at some point, and she was willing to answer them to an extent. It wasn't like it was every day you ran into ice that couldn't be melted after all. Her release was special, and so far she was the only one to manifest such power. That would certainly raise some eyebrows which she didn't exactly mind.

As she waited for them to leave she folded her arms across her chest, momentarily shifting the sash that held the gourd of heavy ice on her back into a more comfortable position.

The sand nin were on board with traveling to Kurayamigakure. While Jayr questioned Umiko on her gourd of ice that wasn't melting given it was quite humid and summer-like here in Morigakure, with Umiko responding that heat had no effect on her ice (Something he was quite curious about himself) there seemed to be some kind of tension between Suna and Okami Uchiha. Suna had nothing nice to say after the explanation that Okami gave, calling him "lobster" and "emo," and asking him if he "had any kids to stalk." He went on to warn the girl he was standing near that he would try to form a bond with her to stab her in the back and strengthen his eyes. Myuto looked confused. He'd heard of the Uchiha and the powers they wielded in their eyes, but he didn't know the process of how they went about training them.

Okami seemed to laugh it off, and told Suna "he didn't want those eyes." Okami asked the Kuraikage would it be alright to escort the Harukage to Kurayamigakure, and Alec gave him a strict set of rules. He said he was going to be watched, to follow all orders the first time they were given, and as soon as he stepped out of line, it was going to end bad for him, likely meaning he would be killed. Myuto knew something had happened before, especially with the statement the younger white haired boy gave. He said Okami was the idiot and the pervert he'd heard about; the individual who'd been beaten up by someone named Kurai, and apparently was attracted to small girls. He said if Okami stepped out of line he would burn him to death... and Myuto believed him. The boy was small, but there was an outrageous amount of chakra inside of him.

Everyone began to leave with Alec, the Harukage included. Myuto followed along next to Umiko to the ship at the docks, taking a long look at the vessel. Swimming under the waves most of his life, Myuto had never taken a ride on top of them. This would be interesting. He took a position next to Umiko and removed the Koto, sitting cross legged on the wooden deck. The moving and bobbing of the ship in the water was something he was used to; stillness was something he'd have to get used to. Myuto began to play a tune...

The wicked grin that the Umikage got on her face made Jayr squirm a little due to being uncomfortable. No one got a look on their face like that without a reason. Even as high as Jayr currently was she still felt every instinct within her screaming 'danger' and 'beware'. What Umiko went on to explain, the reason itself behind the grin, only added to the level of discomfort she had been feeling. The woman used a special kind of super ice; ice that couldn't be affected by heat nor flame. It was just the kind of trump card that people would kill to have, and this woman had it. The true strength of the water village was slowly becoming known, and it was quite terrifying to say the least.

Jayr swallowed, trying hard not to let even a sliver of discomfort or fear show. She placed her bowl back into its protective case and then slipped it into her bag as the Harukage emerged from the building. He made a gesture for herself and Okami to follow and Jayr was slightly surprised: she had been expecting to be dismissed, not allowed to go with even though that had been what she truly wanted to do.

Grinning a bit and determined to be on her best behavior since it was clear that tension was already high between several people and Okami, she too boarded the ship and took up a position out of the way of everyone else. The last thing she wanted after all was to be yelled at for being in the way. As she waited for them to leave she allowed her mind to wander while truly reveling in the calm feeling the Chill gave her: the moments of sheer peace she was allowed to have when her inner monster was out like a light.

She had never seen a village encased in nothing but darkness before, and she was looking forward to the chance.

(Current Word Count: 1,759)

"Damn right I haven't changed, and I never will. You got mad and tried to pull a sword on me, when I was a Genin and you were a Jounin. So in my eyes, you'll always be a lobster, a bully, an emo, and most of all a COWARD. So be glad I haven't turned you into a red stain by now, moron."

Maybe he really was trying to change. Suna was expecting him to rage and have tears flying from those emo eyes of his like waterfalls by now, but surprisingly he was keeping control of himself. It didn't matter how much he changed to Suna; he would probably always hate that Uchiha.

He asked Alec Kane if it was alright if he escorted Muninn to Kurayamigakure. Alec Kane said that he couldn't exactly tell him no with something like this going on, and that he was gonna be watched. He told Okami to follow orders the FIRST time he was given one, and if he stepped out of line, his ass was grass.

Alec's kid commented on how Okami had to be the idiot and pervert he'd heard about, and laughed at the thought of him coming back to the dark village where he'd had his ass handed to him. He even taunted Okami into getting out of line, and admitted that he'd been the one to kill his buddy Luke, saying he could end up the same way. "Ha. Now i'm not the only one you should be worried about. I'm sure Kurai wouldn't mind spanking you again, but now you got the Jr guy ready to fry you too. Funny how one little action can make you the scourge of nearly every village, ain't that right lobster?"

Then everyone was going towards Alec's ship, and Suna picked up on the conversation between the Umikage and the smoky lady. The Umikage said she had special ice that didn't melt, even in fire. Add that onto whatever the guy with her could do, and the water village was looking pretty dangerous, even with only two people. Suna decided not to cross either of them.

On Alec Kane's ship, Suna made sure to position himself so that he was nowhere near Okami. The silent water guy revealed that those things on his back weren't swords, but some kind of musical instrument. Suna sat down just like he was to settle in for the ride, listening to the tune he played.

Since the majority of everyone has left this thread, as well as everyone seems to be on the ship back to Kurayamigakure no Sato, I'm going to go ahead and allow this to count also as a travel thread to save everyone from having to post in another thread to then post in yet another thread.
