Stats System

Stats are a simple enough concept. Train one, and it gives you boosts in a certain area. You use them to determine things like who is faster in a fight, modifying how hard you hit, or how fast you can react to a situation. The stats used on this site are as follows:

Speed (SPD)
Strength (STR)
Endurance (END)
Perception (PER)
Chakra Reserve (CHA)

Speed: Physical movement speed/physical attack speed. This also determines how fast you can react to a situation. Does not affect jutsu cast/cooldown times.

Strength: Physical power only. Reflects how hard you hit with your body.

Endurance: How much damage you can take. Higher endurance means that damage dealt to your body is reduced. High rank endurance (B+) reduces chakra enhanced damage (jutsu/any attack that requires chakra).

Perception: How fast you can perceive something. The higher this is, the faster you notice movement, attacks, etc. This stat also affects your ability to sense and respond to hidden traps and Genjutsu effects. NOTE: this stat does NOT affect how fast you can react to something, just your ability to see it. Reaction is tied into the Speed stat.

Chakra Reserve: A way to boost how much chakra you have. Each full rank up grants X additional chakra.

So as you can see, each stat has it's own perks, and each is useful in its own way. Everyone starts at E, with stats that give them abilities equal to that of a normal, untrained human. You have to work to raise them, and in doing so, you gain more power. Stats are separate from ranks, in that stats do NOT rank/level up unless trained, except in cases of special events when free stat points are awarded. However, those will be few and far between, as well as being very small bonuses; so don't hold out for a bunch of free rank ups via events. You'll be waiting a very long time for basically no reward.

Training Stats is simple enough, and done the same way you train anything else on site. Either create a new thread, or use an existing thread that can be used for training; and train away. Make sure to post that you're using the thread/post for training stats, and record your WC so that staff can easily check. Once you've completed the training thread you put the link to it in your Jutsu Registration and bump the topic: please make sure you add in what you're training and how many words you used.

Please understand that there is a limit to what your stats can be trained to depending on your rank:

Genin: Stats can be Trained to C-3
Chuunin: Stats can be Trained to B-3
Special Jounin: Stats can be Trained to A-3
Jounin A-Rank: Stats can be trained to S-3
Jounin S-Rank | Kage: Stats can be Trained to SS-3

New threads used for stat training must be titled as such: "Thread Name" [Stat Training - Stat name (Starting Rank - Finish Rank) WC: X]

When using an existing training thread, you must place the proper notice in the post where you start your training: [Stat Training - Stat name (Starting Rank - Finish Rank) WC: X]. This can either be placed at the top of the post, or at the bottom in the chakra/jutsu/WC spoiler.

EX:

[Stat Training - Stat name (Starting Rank - Finish Rank) WC: X]

Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body
Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body
Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body Post body

Post End

WC: xxx

Stat Ranks

Stat Ranks are fairly simple, they follow the basic pattern of normal ranks, however they come with sub-ranks (tiers) that allow for more precise detailing of power. The basic ranking and tier system is as follows:

E: Everyone starts here. This is non-negotiable. No matter what your starting rank or position, you begin at E for all stats. E is equivalent to normal human level ability, with zero special training or skill. You are completely and totally average.
D-Rank: Basic academy student. You've just started your school level training, and you're barely above normal human average.
D-1 Intermediate academy student. You've started training, and you're getting better; but you're nothing special.
D-2 Average Genin. You've graduated from the academy, and you're on your way; however you've got a long way to go.
D-3 Advanced Genin. You've trained, and you've grown, but you're no Chunnin yet.
Total Points: 4

C-Rank: Starting Chunnin. You've got some power, and some experience now.
C-1 Intermediate Chunnin. You're beginning to specialize now, and you've become stronger. You've still got a ways to go.
C-2 Experienced Chuunin. You're really working hard, and you've come far, but you're still not enough to be a Jounin.
C-3 Advanced Chunnin. You've busted your trail and you're nearly powerful and experience enough to hold your own with the weaker Jounin.
Total Points: 4

B-Rank: Basic Special Jounin. You're almost one of the big boys now.
B-1 Intermediate Spec Jounin. You've done your time, you've specialized. Now go work harder.
B-2 Experience Spec Jounin. You're likely a teacher or a guard by now, and ready to attempt to become ANBU or other highly specialized jobs.
B-3 Advanced Spec Jounin. Damn, you're almost a full Jounin. Get back to work!
Total Points: 4

A-Rank: Starting Jounin. You've made it to the big leagues; but now you realize just how weak you really are.
A-1 Inexperienced Jounin. Everything you thought you knew was a lie, time to begin again.
A-2 Intermediate Jounin. Now you're getting it. Welcome to the big boy's club.
A-3 True Jounin. You've busted your butt, and you've made your mark. Good work.
Total Points: 4

S-Rank: Advanced Jounin. You're the senior among the seniors.
S-1 Experienced Jounin. You've mastered your abilities, and you've taken a step out of the shadows and into the sun.
S-2 Perfect Jounin. You're the best of the best, almost. People tell stories of your greatness.
S-3 Legendary Jounin. You're the strongest around, most of the time. You're the Captains of ANBU, the Sannin of your villages. You've come far from that little genin long ago.
Total Points: 4

SS-Rank: Mythic Ninja
SS-1 Senior Sannin/Greenhorn Kage. You're the best in your village, but there's still other leaders with more wisdom and power.
SS-2 Experience Sannin/Kage. You've been the best for a long time now, and everyone knows it.
SS-3 God-Mode. You're a god among men and women. Welcome to the history books, cause they're fawning over you.

Chakra Stat

Stat System CF4FXHV0QhXaM

The chakra stat is exactly what you think it is, a way to raise your chakra pool in order to gain a slight advantage over your opponents. You train using the same system as the rest of the stats, and gain the amount stated below each time you move up a tier or rank. You can train up a total of 300 extra chakra points using this system.

Strength Stat

Stat System YR605iIbxmfEk

E - Completely average human. You're not that strong, nor are you very weak, but you can't do anything special. You'd be lucky to leave a mark in drywall, and anything more solid is just painful to hit.
D - D1: Above average human. You lift some weights, and have a little bit of power. You're the type that eople love to have when they need to move heavy objects. You can eventually damage wood, with enough hits.
D1 - D2: Well above average human. You're the type that lifts weights uring their work outs, as well as dedicates time specifically to strength training. However, you're still within the bounds of human norms. You'd be the type that likes to boat about being able to break boards with your fist/face/heel/etc.
D2 - D3: Genin in Training. You take academy level training courses, and you've trained your body to be far above human normal. However, you're still at the bottom of the totem pole as far as ninja are concerned.

D3- C: Weak Taijutsu user. You're looking to specialize in Taijutsu, but you've still got a lot of training before you're ready to call yourself strong.
C - C1: Average fighter. You're about on par with the majority of ninja that don't specialize in physical skills.
C1 - C2: Above Average fighter. You've got the strength to use weapons properly, and you've started to specialize in physical skills.
C2 - C3: Peak Human Condition. You're the absolute best of normal humans. Only through chakra enhancement can you progress beyond this point.

C3 - B: Taijutsu Specialist. You've moved beyond human limits and into the world only Taijutsu specialists can understand. You're stong, but you're not the strongest.
B - B1: Trained Taijutsu Specialist. You've put in the time and the effort. Good for you.
B1 - B2: Well Trained Taijutsu Specialist. You've got the experience to back up your physical power. You might not be the strongest, but you can sure hold your own.
B2 - B3: Highly Trained Taijutsu Specialist. You're the one that people want to train them.

B3 - A: Taijutsu Master in Training. Even steel buckles under your attacks. You're the prime example of a physical specialist, but you still lack something.
A - A1: Taijutsu Master. You've learned a lot, and your body is a lean, mean, physical machine. Keep at it.
A1 - A2: Taijutsu Master. You've certainly come far, and you've still got a ways to go. Keep at it.
A2 - A3: Senior Taijutsu Master. Now you've got a reputation as a master, and you can back it up.

A3 - S: Legendary Taijutsu User. You're damn good at what you do, and everyone knows it.
S -S1: Legendary Taijutsu Master. And now you make sure the world knows it.
S1 - S2: Legendary Taijutsu Specialist. You're so good that people study every aspect of your style.
S2 - S3: Legendary Expert. The masters study you, and want to be you.

S3 - SS: Master. How does it feel to be the best?
SS - SS1: Master's Teacher. Better yet, you train the best. How does that feel?
SS1 - SS2: True Legend. You're the ace in the hole for your people.
SS2 - SS3: True Master. You have no equal. Your strength and style are so legendary that history books sing your praises.

Endurance Stat

Stat System 200

Endurance is the measure of how much damage you can handle at a time. The higher your endurance, the better you can handle things like pain and injury before you pass out or die.

Please be aware that the minimum rank difference for staggering, paralysis, or stun effects beyond ONE (1) post is TWO (2) Ranks. What this means is, the target that you wish to trigger a stagger, paralysis, or stun effect on must be TWO (2) ranks LOWER than the jutsu or ability being used. Single post stagger, paralysis, or stun can be accomplished on any equal or lower rank target. Target TWO (2) rank or more ABOVE the rank of the jutsu or ability are unaffected.

Stagger: A temporary lowering of ability.
Stun: The inability to react or move. Genjutsu effects are counted as stuns.
Paralysis: In this case, paralysis refers only to physical paralysis. Mental Paralysis (usually caused via fear or mental attacks) is classified as a stun. Abilities and jutsu that only affect a single limb or part of the body are classified as paralysis.

E - Weak as a kitten. You feel a LOT of pain, and you have no resistance to it. The only way to be weaker than this is to be dead.
D - D1: You can almost take a punch, but that doesn't mean you like it.
D1 - D2: A punch is annoying, but it won't stop you anymore; not unless it's to a critical area.
D2 - D3: Congrats, you can handle anything a normal human can throw at you. That being said, you still can't handle the damage even a genin can produce. Jutsu still rip you apart like your skin is made of wet rice paper.

D3- C: You can handle some damage now, and you've learned to push through the pain. At this point, you start taking reduced damage (-1 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
C - C1: You can handle some damage now, and you've learned to push through the pain. At this point, you start taking reduced damage (-1 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
C1 - C2: You can handle some damage now, and you've learned to push through the pain. At this point, you start taking reduced damage (-1 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
C2 - C3: You can handle some damage now, and you've learned to push through the pain. At this point, you start taking reduced damage (-1 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.

C3 - B: Your body is getting harder, and you can definitely take some hits. You take reduced damage (-2 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
B - B1: Your body is getting harder, and you can definitely take some hits. You take reduced damage (-2 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
B1 - B2: Your body is getting harder, and you can definitely take some hits. You take reduced damage (-2 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you.
B2 - B3: Your body is getting harder, and you can definitely take some hits. You take reduced damage (-2 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you. You take reduced damage (-3 tier) from JUTSU of TWO (2) Rank or more below you.

B3 - A: You're almost a bonafide tank now. It takes a massive hit to hurt you, and even jutsu are starting to slide off your skin like they where nothing. You take reduced damage (-3 tier) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you. You take reduced damage (-3 tier) from JUTSU of TWO (2) Rank or more below you.
A - A1: You're almost a bonafide tank now.
A1 - A2: You're almost a bonafide tank now.
A2 - A3: You're almost a bonafide tank now. It takes a massive hit to hurt you, and even jutsu are starting to slide off your skin like they where nothing. You take reduced damage (-1 Rank) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you. You take reduced damage (-3 tier) from JUTSU of TWO (2) Rank or more below you.

A3 - S: You can handle nearly anything thrown at you now. It takes a massive amount of damage to hurt you, and jutsu just slide off your skin. You take reduced damage (-1 Rank) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you. You take reduced damage (-1 Rank) from JUTSU of TWO (2) Rank or more below you.
S -S1: You can handle nearly anything thrown at you now.
S1 - S2: You can handle nearly anything thrown at you now. It takes a massive amount of damage to hurt you, and jutsu just slide off your skin. SS2 - SS3: You really can handle anything now. You're damn near a one-man army at this point. You take reduced damage (-3 Rank) from physical attacks ONE (1) Rank or more below you. You take reduced damage (-2 Rank) from JUTSU of ONE (1) Rank or more below you.

Perception Time

Stat System 200

Perception Ability is a fairly simple stat to use. Perception relates to your ability to perceive the hidden things in the world around you; such as hidden traps and jutsu, as well as being able to respond and negate Genjutsu effects.

Perception Ability in relation to Sensory abilities, 'Hiding in x' jutsu/abilities, finding hidden traps, and Genjutsu functions in a very straightforward manner.

Genjutsu: Jutsu are treated as sub-tier 3 of their respective rank. You must have Perception Ability of 2 sub-tier below the jutsu or better to even have a chance of negating or evading the Genjutsu. At 2 sub-tiers to equal Rank-tier, you use the dice roll system to decide if you are able to COUNTER the Genjutsu, at a cost of chakra EQUAL to the base of the RANK of the Genjutsu. If your Perception Ability is of equal or 2 sub-tiers HIGHER than that of the Genjutsu, you are able to instantly pay the chakra cost to 'evade/negate' the Genjutsu. If your Perception Ability is more than 2 full tiers above that of the jutsu, you are unaffected entirely.

Traps/Sensory/'Hiding in X' jutsu: So long as your Perception Ability is equal to that of the ability/jutsu, you are able to detect the presence of the trap/jutsu/ability. If your Perception Ability is ONE FULL RANK higher than that of the trap/jutsu/ability, you are able to perceive it's presence so long as you are within 50 meters of it.

*** This system does NOT work in relation to Senjutsu based abilities.

Special Note: Just because your Perception is higher then someone's Speed does not mean you can react to their attack. Perception and Reaction do not go hand in hand on this site: Speed and Reaction do.
