A New Home [Open - No Kill] Empty
PostSubject: A New Home [Open - No Kill]   A New Home [Open - No Kill] EmptyTue Jan 19, 2016 5:41 pm

A new village. Hopefully, this one would be far better than her last. All of the missions she had done, everything she had trained, it had all gone un-noticed in Umigakure. After a while she had even started to think that she was perhaps invisible. Of course that hadn't been the case: she had been noticed when spray painting on walls and causing small bouts of mischief. It had been like the bad mattered while the good didn't. Sucked. But, it was whatever. She had moved on.

She had officially become a validated member of Morigakure: a Genin - the paperwork was done and she even had a shiny new Morigakure headband; though she had kept the majority of her personal information to herself, such as her more powerful Dovahkiin clan jutsu. She had a little one room apartment which was a kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedroom all in one, but it was better than living on the streets or in a brothel as she had been in Umigakure. So much better than the way things had been before, and better was good. Besides, a twelve year old didn't belong in a brothel, nor anywhere near one.

At the moment Chiho was simply wandering around, trying to get a look at the place and figure out where everything was. There were a few places in particular she liked to know the location of: the hospital in case she got injured, the nearest grocery store so that she didn't have to wander too far for food supplies, and the nearest ice cream parlor. She was used to living a village where the south end was tropical and warm and the north end was the arctic and freezing cold: because of this she was still getting used to the temperature in Morigakure and ice cream would definitely come in handy.

"There has to be an ice cream parlor somewhere nearby...", Chiho found herself mutter beneath her breath as she glanced about while making her way up the market's main street. Perhaps she'd get lucky and run into someone who knew where the best place in town to get ice cream was - otherwise, she might end up spending the next hour searching.

Luke was wondering around the main sector of the hidden forest when he came across a rather interesting woman; she had bright blonde hair and blue eyes, but besides her casual appearance, she had a perculiar appearance in terms of her face; it was covered in tattoos of various creatures and designs. She was also wearing the hidden forest headband on her forehead, but Luke had never seen her before, so he wondered if she was new since she seemed to look like a fish out of water. He would walk over to hear as she mentioned something about a ice cream parlour and he gave a police cough.

"Pardon me, miss; you seem lost; if your looking for a ice cream parlour, I can show you the way. Oh yes, I almost forgot to introduce myself; I'm Luke Yasenha, may I ask what your name is?" Luke asked politely; he wore his normal black and red karate Gi, red sash with his blade by his side, a hidden dark headband around his shoulder and his hidden forest handband around his sash, his blood red eyes looking curiously at her as he waited for a response.

A New Home [Open - No Kill] Empty

Chiho had been so busy paying attention to looking around that she hadn't noticed the individual walking up to her until he was speaking, which caused her to jump in a startled fashion and curse herself silently for not paying better attention to her surroundings. She knew better after all, she was a shinobi, but shit happened and she would move on. As she attempted to get a hold on her rapidly beating heartbeat she focused on what the male with the red eyes was saying. He said that she looked lost, and apparently had heard her mutterings because he stated that he could direct her to the nearest ice cream parlor if she'd like. He went on to introduce himself as Luke Yasenha and even inquired as to what her name was.

Chiho bit her lip for a moment in contemplation: she was secretive by nature and by training, and given years spent living in a brothel she was that much more untrusting of men and their - possible - hidden intentions. It took a split second to make her decision though; given his village headband he wore she figured it would be alright to trust him for now. "I would appreciate that, thank you, and my names Chiho. Chiho Dovahkiin." Best to be polite for now instead of her normal brash and hardheaded self: she had little knowledge about this male, including what rank he happened to be, so there was no use in pushing buttons better left unpressed. Besides, he hadn't done anything to rub her the wrong way and cause that side of her to show.

"I just moved here from Umigakure; things are a lot different than what I'm used to. I'm still settling in.", she added, figuring she should offer up some kind of explanation: she wore a Morigakure headband after all, and yet knew little to nothing about the village - she didn't want to raise suspicion and cause herself problems that she didn't need.

Luke paid close attention to what she said as she introduced herself as Chiho Dovahkiin, a recent transfer from the hidden ocean village to the hidden forest, which explained the whole fish out of water thing, somewhat more literally then Luke expected it to be.

"Trust me, your not the only transfer here; although I used to be hidden dark, I was forcibly transferred due to a misunderstanding, even though I managed to keep my jonin rank, I'm still rather homesick. But enough of that talk, follow me, I'll show you the ice cream parlour, its in the main eating sector," Luke said, gesturing for Chiho to follow him, if she followed him, he would lead her through the snaking alleyways and pathways of the village, leading her to a large street, lined with various eateries, including a ice cream parlour, the parlour had a tipical tropical theme, but Luke had heard the ice cream here was good so he thought it was the best place to put it.

"Here you go, as promised; do you mind if I join you? Its rather rare to see another hidden forest ninja around these days, kinda feels like I'm the only one left," Luke explained casually, gesturing towards the parlour while offering to give her some company, if she said no, he would understand and leave her to it, if she said yes, he would follow her in and order a chocolate sundae.

Luke mentioned that she wasn't the only transfer here, which explained a bit as to why he had two different village headbands on his person. He mentioned then being forcibly transferred to Morigakure from another village, and how even though he managed to keep his Jounin rank he was rather homesick. It made her feel quite strange to know that the man accompanying her was a full fledged Jounin were as she was nothing more than a lowly Genin. Chiho couldn't share his homesickness as she was far from it; there had been nothing left for her in Umigakure outside of people who seemed to care little to nothing for her, and the remainder of a family that hated her and blamed her for things outside of her control. In fact she felt better off here in Morigakure than she had at home, so no that wasn't something she could sympathize with him about.

She saw Luke's gesture to follow him and did so. As they walked she remained silent for the time, and simply focused on the things around her while trying to form a mental map that could be called upon from memory later on when she was alone and needed to get from one place to another. When they arrived at the ice cream parlor she noticed that it had a very tropical theme which caused her to smile a bit; it seemed silly to her to have a tropical theme in a land that was filled with so many trees.

Her attention shifted, however, from her own amusement and back onto Luke once more as he inquired about joining her. It was still strange to know that he was so much higher rank than her, but she wouldn't deny his request simply for that. So, Chiho nodded her head yes in response before adding, "If you want, sure." Once she would give him the okay to join her she would enter inside and wait in line until it was her turn at the counter; taking the time to look over the flavors that they offered in the meantime. She would order a banana flavored sundae and once she had it she would pay for her delicious treat and then find a table big enough for both of them; which would turn out to be a comfortable booth instead of a hard wooden chair.

Luke nodded in her direction, giving a small bow.

"Thank you," he said simply as he came in and ordered his chocolate sundae with hot brownies inside it and came over to Chiho and took up a spoon and dug in. He wasn't sure what to ask her at first, so he decided to go with something relatively safe.

"So, how was your journey from the hidden ocean village? I haven't really heard much from the hidden ocean since it went dark, did something happen?" Luke said, he knew the second question was a bit more personal, but his natural curiosity took over and he was wondering what had happened in the hidden ocean to have caused her to transfer over to the hidden forest. He kept spooning the sundae into his mouth, keeping his blood red eyes on her face as he waited for a response.
